Q990C is definitely too "powerful" for a bedroom.

I am currently looking for a simple soundbar, without ext bass, rear or whatever for my bedroom for purely music/song. Waiting for good promotion and reading reviews...
Get Sonos beam gen 2 + 2 symfonisk ikea surround should be much value for money.
Music or tv sounds are good quality.
Future want to hear more bass then add sub mini will do

just got the JBL Bar 800, sound is pretty good with surround sound detachable rear speakers.

But i have an issue, and many people using JBL soundbars is also facing same issue.

The soundbar will turn off every 10 mins after so-called inactivity. Pretty annoying, as it turns off every 10minutes.

Tried all ways on my Sony TV, turning off Bravia Sync, turning off bravia sync auto on/off soundbar when tv switches off. Switching audio to Priority pass through instead of Auto, also does not work.

Anyone with JBL Bar 800 and Sony TV, could you help please? Thank you

Bose ok , but for the dialogue not as clear as Sonos Arc ultra

Hope to get 1 under or around 1k, might skip Bose. Just for soft music in the bedroom. A friend recommended Creative GS5 at about $100 :D

Wow. Sonos 12/12 bundle offer is even better than 11/11.

Sonos Arc Ultra, sub 4 and a pair of Era 300 going for only 3856. Lazada. End in 16hrs

have been using JBL Bar 800 for 2 weeks now. Very satisfied with my purchase.
It has detachable rear speakers to give a real surround.

Had initally decided to get Samsung Q800D, was quite impressed with samsung sound, but the JBL surround impressed me further.

Why not consider Samsung Q990D ?

Replaced my 1 year-old-plus Prism Symphony with Samsung Q800D, cos the Prism has issues turning on (sometimes takes hours to turn on, even though there is power, as the light on the display is on).

Price and specs wise, seems both similar?

But overall I find the Prism Symphony audio quality better and bass stronger than the Samsung Q800D. I had to boost the Samsung bass to the max to try to match the Prism.

The Samsung also sounds a bit too sharp at times (treble set at 0), not sure how else to tiao, all the sound modes are like that.

I will say the surround effect is better than the Prism Symphony though.

Not sure if anyone has the same view as me.

Likewise, I heard a demo of a Top Gun movie on the Q800D. Not very impressed with the bass at max setting. Tried the Q990C demo, stronger bass. After using the Q990C at home for 3 months, felt the bass quite weak at low volume (like <10%), but bass rumbles >10% volume.

Just sharing ..... on the remote control of my Q990C, there are 2 buttons that can adjust the tone of the audio.

"WOOFER" button - clicking up or down can tune bass effect from -12 to 6

"TONE CONTROL" button - clicking on it activates between "Treble" and "Bass" ... which individually can be adjusted (via clicking up or down on "Wheel" or "Circle" button above it) from -6 to 6.
