I port over at retail shop.

Actually official port over was 48hrs after I purchased the sim card. Will receive an sms saying successful port over.

At least this is faster than my Zero1, more data and got roaming. Network coverage also better after testing at the usual places I go to. Didn't test the speed but feels faster.

Just realized that if you used the free $8 credit promotion for the next billing cycle, you may get charged twice on your credit card if you turned on auto renew.

I find the experience of using 8 is on par with vivifi, but slightly slower than giga when browsing youtube.
No problem if just using for messaging apps or spotify. I'm very impress with their free roaming though. Has been using it for taiwan and malaysia without issue.
i tried in HK and Macau

No you won't. If you have both $8 credit balance, and you also have your credit card details stored with them, and you have auto-recharge turned on, they will take the $8 from your credit balance first. They won't deduct BOTH your credit balance and from your credit card.

Thanks, hope they won't charge me twice because I recharge ahead of expiry and not let the auto renew do its work
You need to login to your account, open your eyes, and see when exactly the next auto-recharge cycle will kick in. Then you'll have your answer.

Everything is clearly shown in your account page.

can share what kind of deceptive behavior they have?
Eight doesn't engage in deceptive behavior, just people anyhow say without posting any evidence, and they also never read the FAQ and T&Cs.

You can be sure that if Eight DID indeed engage in deceptive behavior, smart folks would have bashed them in the forums here a long time ago, with actual screenshots and evidence.

Actually what you say is true, no matter what, it can never be more expensive than the MNOs. They really give Bill Shock its true meaning.
Thanks for explaining what is traffic lights.

If I went ahead to use the $8 credit balance first before the auto renew kick in, will there be double charge?
