What is the mobile phone? The speed is not too low with wireless connection to the Nokia ONR in the DB box.

What is the connection between the Nokia Beacon 2 and the main Nokia ONR? If using wireless connection with obstructions in between, that could explain the super poor wireless speed in the living room.

Nokia ONR + Nokia Beacon 2 (lousy wireless router) with Ethernet backhaul is an okay combination.

Actually earlier i tested before with my Nokia ONR and can get good wifi speed. It may be his mobile phone that is slow wifi speed. Must test with a laptop with wifi 6.

Hello, noob question here….

If signing up a 5GBPS plan, getting a wifi 7 capable router, does that mean I’ll get wifi 7 enabled throughout the home?

Yes, I have the same issue(keep showing error messages) when trying to sign at StarHub website.

Then I managed to contact Selina and she assisted me with all the installation appointments and selection of router.

I really appreciated her help. Save all my time of calling 1630 and traveling to StarHub shop and Q:rolleyes:
Selina still can contact but maybe on watsapp, dun think she entertains calls... from the post few pages before seems like she dun handle recontract... only new sign up...

FYI for others - Selina on WA say cannot do recontract for existing, and also cannot advise on termination, only can do new sign ups. Advised me to try 1630 or go to shop to plead case to get the 29.55 plan.
Guys the $29.55 is applicable to all customers without contract ?

I don't receive any SMS.

Someone sent me the link.

Hi all, I just signed up the promo $29.55 plan (ONT) + $2.14 landline on Sunday at Nex. I currently on M1 Fibre Plan with Home Tel included. I have planned to transfer my home tel. over to Starhub and was advised by the Starhub Rep that I proceed with my sign-up with a new home number first. Next, I have to go to M1 to debundle the internet and home tel. separately so I can transfer the home tel. I did as advised but after which I went to M1, I was told it is not possible to debundle from home tel. to port out.

Does anyone have experience on this? I did choose my favourite new number at Starhub as a precaution that I have to loose the current home number. But if it is doable, then I would not mind to do it too.

Have scheduled the set-up by Starhub on 4 Jan 2025.

was with ST previously, i just de-bundle as per normal. no issues with that.
i don't know why M1 can't make it simple for consumers...

so how it's done is basically,
once my SH services is up & running, i just went to ST to get a release form and pass it over to SH. simple as that

Usually one wifi 7 router should be able to cover the whole HDB or apartment. If no wifi 7 client, can always use wifi 6 client which can provide about 1500 mbps. TP-Link 810 is very good.

It should not be so lousy in the living room if the Nokia Beacon 2 is connected to the Nokia ONR with Ethernet cable. You may want to check the cable connection. It could be that Nokia Beacon 2 is connected at 100 Mbps speed and not 1Gbps speed.

Poco X6 Pro should also do a bit better with the Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR, maybe you need to enable 160MHz channel bandwidth.

You were using old analog line when with ST? Or also digital voice?

This had been explained earlier in this thread.

Digital voice requires an ONT/ONR. If want to debundle digital voice with fibre, the digital voice would still need an ONT/ONR. But you only have the ONT/ONR for your fibre. So with digital voice cannot be debundled.

ST if using old analog line can be debundled since the line can exist on it’s own analog line.

As far as I know, SingTel allows debundle of digital voice. As you mentioned, it will occupy one FTP point even after you terminate SingTel Fibre Internet.

As far as I know, Starhub/M1 do not allow debundle of digital voice, but they should be able to port to each other. I remember there were successful reports if porting from M1 to Starhub digital voice in this thread.

Actually when we requested to pop into SH, M1 will have to de-bundled first. After i spoke to SH about pop in, I called M1 to tell them about my intention to pop into SH. Then M1 CSO applied for debundle for me.

1) I think the word "debundle" may mean different things here.

Probably use another wording is better.

Singtel --> you can subscribe to Singtel digital voice service without having Singtel Fibre Internet Service.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/more/telephony-services/home-digital-line

M1/Starhub --> you cannot subscribe to M1/Starhub digital voice without having their Fibre Internet Service
https://www.m1.com.sg/support/faq/fixed-voice-faq
Yes. To enjoy M1 Fixed Voice service, you will need to subscribe to M1 Fibre Broadband service.

https://www.starhub.com/personal/home-phone/home-phone-line.html
++Fibre Broadband is a prerequisite for subscription to Digital Voice service.

2) But porting the digital voice number among the big three are possible -- how to deal with the porting process will be different for Singtel and M1/Starhub. It is better to talk to the two ISPs involved first to be clear about the digital voice number porting process, before terminating the Fibre Internet Service.

I have signed up on 15 Dec and selected 24 Dec 2pm to 4pm. I received email for the order confirmation. No one turned up today. I called 1633 and they just simply told me the order is under "pending" and no appointment was made. If were to cancel, there are cancellation charges. Anyone has this issues?

EDIT: Proceeded with cancellation with "one time courtesy" of waiver
