Actually it depends on the quality of the green hat. Sometimes it is worth it. Depends on openness. And the outcome is you cannot predict one.
My army friends and I one time came out for a drinking gathering. Then after eating and drinking at Boat Quay (mid 2000s, meals were still not that expensive), we went for dirty massage. Then after a few months heard that one friend married the masseuse and the masseuse carried another foreigner's child but the foreigner ran back to Britain.
So after many years, fast forward 9 or 10 years, I saw this friend at Sim Lim with this wife (quite attractive) and his son. The son is very handsome, got Eurasian look, well chiselled face, very solid kid. He was waiting for his computer so we chatted downstairs at the foodcourt.
Then a lot of years past, saw him with his son tall and handsome. He said his son met all his expectations on academic grades. In the end went to Imperial College. My friend only diploma only, work as lab technician, then currently lab manager in a research enterprise. He said he very satisfied with life already.
