Be7000 can only use xiaomi home app or ip via browsers. The app.will not work. There is no ssues easy to set up .
Detect the router once plugin then setup wifi ssid and relogin to change admin pw and some onfig. You can find videos how to setup easily

my BE7000 internet light does not come on. seems like could be a faulty router

that is dependent of things you do ... some torrent download and other concurrent usage etc in evening with few pax people at home will impact .. not sure about your usage varies from people
Even if you torrent download, it'll complete in no time and also not likely to saturate your connection unless you get peers that can also upload at similar speed.

Even with torrent, I hardly even hit 500Mbps on well seeded content. It could be throttling by the ISP too.

What usually gets me to peak capacity is typically Windows update or Linux ISO / patches due to their CDNs having good backbone. Even for Steam game downloads I can barely hit the max.

you might have turned it off accidentally. Check your Status indicator - How to customize and time the router lighting effects >Lighting Control
It’s a very weird situation
BE7000 didn’t work when connect directly to the ONT
But it works when I connect it via my current router

edit: Manage to get it work. Somehow BE7000 looks quite sometime for the internet light to come up for the first time.

Just curious cat 5e cable support 2.5gbps? the cables comes with the router is cat 5e. black color

Cat 5e speed (Up to 1 Gbps max.)
It supports data transfer speeds up to one Gigabit per second (Gbps) at 100 MHz up to 328 feet.

Anything above 1Gbps requires Cat 6 minimally.

This is incorrect and have been proven wrong in the real world, it's actually distance dependent. The real world is actually rather forgiving, which is testament to good engineering and having adequate tolerances.

Yes, but if want to future proof just get minimally Cat 6 to last for a while.

This is definitely true if you're planning to run cabling in the wall for longer distance runs, if you're only looking at doing a patch cable run, could reuse a cat5e cable for now instead of getting a new one (which was the use case of ONT to router).

just received m1 recontract deal
6gbps for $32.90
10gbps for $50.90

luckily I waited
I received as well. 6Gbps plan at $32.90 with free TP-Link Archer BE805. But when I click on recontract in M1 apps, it brings me to the page the 6Gbps plan still at $$47.90 /mth.

M1 website always like this, discount will be reflected at the end .
The email mentioned:
"Remember to apply promo code in your cart to enjoy this exclusive price just for you!"

Here is a test of the M1 supplied TP-Link BE230 in a BTO with M1 2.5Gbps service

Einfold test of TP-Link BE230

Surprised that with a single router, his furthest room in a 5 room BTO can still get 1Gbps. As with my observation, this router is very powerful

According to Einfold's tests, BE230 was faster than Asus BE88U, especially at furthest range, but take with a grain of salt because, speedtest can vary depending on time of day.

I also never see any promo code in email.
I think below the email "This offer is valid for hbbxxxxxxxx until 22 February 2025" the hbb-numbers is the promo code. Anyway, try on both M1 apps and their website always stuck at appointment for ONT installation, click Next no response.
Promo till 22/02/2025 probably after CNY then try again.

After 2 years will still be 32.90.or back to 47.90?
No mentioned about this. The given TP-Link Archer BE805 support 10Gbps maybe by the time contract ends can recontract to 10Gbps plan without the need to change router.
