Eggmy had always been in SMC for very long & gotten quite high percent wins, highest in 2015. Doubt they will move her to GRC. GRCs always parachute those new or unknowns.

The SMC that she's standing in is a stronghold... Usually it's those GRCs that are shaky...

So will Eggmy stand by herself in a SMC with a smaller pool of voters or parachute into another "bao jiak" GRC helmed by PM LW or parachute into west coast GRC under east coast HSK? (Currently missing one MP due to Iswaran)

WP has no chance to win Marine Parade against Tan See Leng.

If Harpreet is smart, he should persuade WP to put him in Aljunied or Sengkang GRC to be guaranteed of a MP spot.

That defeats the purpose of acquiring a star candidate.

A star candidate’s star power helps the known face team captain win for the 1st time.

In GE2011, CSM’s star power helped LTK capture Aljunied. You may say that LTK was not a “1st timer” but he was as far as a GRC was concerned, and without the hype over CSM back then, he might have lost.

In GE2020, Jamus’ star power helped He Ting Ru capture Seng Kang.

The star candidate cannot be the team captain. Nicole was the star candidate and the team captain, and they failed to capture East Coast. If Harpreet is the star candidate and the team captain for Marine Parade, also most probably will lose.

First Pasir Ris - Punggol GRC should split into two different GRC as Punggol is large enough already. Sun Xue Ling heads Punggol GRC is bao jiak.

Then East Coast GRC should be split into 3 parts.

1 part goes to Pasir Ris to form Pasir Ris - East Coast GRC (should be Flora Rd that side all the way to Changi Village and Ubin)

1 part goes to Tampines (Simei side).

Last part goes to Marine Parade (some part of Bedok).

This should be the real East Coast Plan, to chop the meat and share with others, which was why HSK had a hard trying to announce this during election (joking of course)

Circuit and Pipit Rd area got some flats around same age as SG
