Skoda is actually quite a well desired brand, but most people in SG don't really know about it unfortunately.

The way people buy cars here is quite unconventional too, price, interior trim & brand matters more than the drive experience and overall drive comfort. Guess also due to the distances traveled is too short (and slow) for most to matter.

Normal road max 60, 70kmh.
Expressway max 110, 120kmh.

There is really not much use for a performance vehicle.

Definitely true here, performance vehicles wasted here, and thus most buyers not any wiser to discern between them. Also why the AD can afford to charge a large premium for branding

I rather a full spec Skoda than an entry level merc. The quality of life improvements are so significant.

Erm the entry level merc are generally mehhh. And full spec Skoda is probably on par in pricing.

Relatives can ask but I heck. I am driving the car daily so my opinion is the most important.

Speed trap is a poor excuse given. BKE I easily hit 160 just a few second after flooring from 100km/h. Simi max 110/120?

I can only say all the tech bells n whistles in the car will be useless when u are hands on steering n eyes on road.

same for cla180 .. CnC promo.

but this is nett or some price they claim is final price. got to factor in other cost ones. I guess is $190+k with the service package and such.

I always search almost new cars tag, then factor in the used depreciation value to get the 'true' original cost.
For example u see mazda 3 always advertised as 17Xk, but a almost new car is only 13Xk

I like the GLB200, got the AMG line diamond grill. But seems like its from PI?

The GLB180 progressive got the 2 bar grill and less powerful? But from C&C?

Anyone who has driven either of these 2 can advise?

GLB180 from C&C is in the cat a coe with less HP compared to GLB200 from PI.

GLB180 got memory seats on driver side, electric seats on front passenger. Normal lousy cheapo feel fake leather from merc. very sluggish due to low power to weight.

GLB200 from PI got a few versions. much higher HP. AMG version, AMG premium and Premium Plus
Engine same thru all specs only accessories different
AMG will have nicer steering wheels, alcantara seats, amg rims
AMG premium will have bigger driver screen with ambient lighting(cant confirm)
AMG premium plus will all mentioned above + sunroof, autopark, electric seats, driver memory seats

agar like that la.. if u want to get GLB high spec from C&C would be very expensive, prob need to indent and wait a while. both are make in mexico. PI version are mainly from UK so their GPS doesnt work unless now got people managed to break the code. just use apple carplay or android auto la.

Performance car? Are you the type still playing with wrx or evo stage 2 tune/brembo brakes/momo steering wheel (which still gets smoked by family car tesla model y)

I would go for the badge anytime bro. You buy a car for 10 years. Drive a high performance car no badge vs a lower performance car with badge. Lots of difference…

already spend $100k on COE and drive a no badge car. Might as well take public transport or PHV/taxi sua. Maybe blue sg.

Agree bro….these days when I see other cars on the roads that are not continental cars (Mercedes/BMW/audi), I assume it’s PHV…..
