No I don't. It's your money and your prerogative to spend.

Mazda? BMW? But like I'd said, it's your money.

I think I had stepped on a certain someone's foot when I'd pointed out factually on how Mercedes segregate their models as the person perceived it as a possible threat on the company's interest.

Then again, pointing out how Merc segregates their models according to mass-market models and actual brand lineup WILL potentially help you get the best possible deal. The question is whether you are able to see past your anger in my posts regarding due to your insecurity and exploit for the best possible deal for yourself because of how Mercedes positions their models in the market.

Like someone said, for Bread and Butter cars, they are more than willing to show you the exit than to give you a better deal.

Golden nuggets of information all over. You are just not seeing things with an open mind. :D

Facts are there. But no, I had not told you or anyone outright, "You should not get it." Psychologically, it's YOUR PERSONAL INSECURITY that's causing you blow up. :s13:

As for model comparison, I think there's no need for anyone to tell you the diff since a quick look can easily tell the diff between a PI GLB200 and C&C's GLB180.

I shan't say anymore or reply to you since you had actually decided what car you are going for regardless. No one comes to EDMW to make a decision but to merely seek validation. But if you enjoy having the last word to your thread, by all means, please. :D

Happy holidays and enjoy your GLB.
Pls don't reply anymore because your reply is irrelevant to my thread.

You can start on your thread about different tiers of luxury cars and rest assured I will not comment there.

I don't know what "personal insecurity" you are talking about when I'm just asking about a family car. It is insecure people like yourself who cannot stand people buying entry level mercedes because you think you know better.

I can honestly tell you that you don't, and all your "golden nuggets of information" are rubbish to me.

Now get out of here and don't come back.

Has TS actually test driven a GLB yet? Go on, try it! Do bring along 5 more family members and friends to really put the GLB through its paces. Also bring a standard sized luggage for it.

If he wants a 7-seater SUV, the feedback of ride experience from passengers will matter. Let his other 6 passengers tell him how they felt during the ride.

I'm not saying the GLB is bad, but one is deluded if he/she believes the GLB can carry 7 full sized adults comfortably in the ride.

I personally test drove the GLB200 along with other 7-seater SUVs back then, and its luxurious feel doesn't even come close to what one would feel in a Mazda CX-8 or even a Skoda Kodiaq base spec.
Yes i will go try.
Current is 4 adults (me, my wife, 2 helpers) plus 2 kids.

I will not need to carry all 6 people all the time, so the 5+2 will be useful in times I need to.
When all 6 sit in my current ride (es300h), it's quite tight at the back with 2 adults 2 kids.

I will suggest the Volvo suvs. Better built safer interior good and of cos more powerful then that 2 above.
Not sure about Volvo. Got once I at JB workshop. I ask the sales person how come the Volvo bring 1 can of engine oil. She say the owner come here top up oil only.

so, Volvo cars eat engine oil one.

The problem with glb if kids are small is that in 5+2 u won't have space for prams.

1 more difference between C&C GLB and PI GLB which I think no one mentioned..

The PI GLB should have more safety features like lane keep assist with steering intervention, distronic cruise control which the c&c unit would not have..
The uk spec ones usually come fully spec up

Good point.
My kids don't use prams anymore though.

But they still use child seats so it's good that there's isofix in the last row for 2 child seat

Yes in fact most or should I say all of the uk spec Mercedes are better spec.

but I tend to have warranty claims. So I still stick with c&c unit 😂

Actually it's the same situation for me. GLB 180 is comfortable enough for the few occasions we needed 6 seats. Enough space to pack luggages as well for few days trip to Malaysia. Just that the person in the last row a bit claustro.

Pickup etc is good enough since it's meant to be a family car anyways.

Can just install a usb fan in the last row for ventilation. There are usb c ports behind.

It's the peace of mind buying from AD.
Tbh I have never bought a PI car before so I wouldn't know the experience.

I saw a review that 3rd row is for people <1.68m.
I see the video and pictures i think more for people <1.5m, ie kids, to sit comfortably for more than 30min.

If i buy this car, i will probably put the child seats at 2nd row. 3rd row fold down for carrying things.
On rare occasions then use 3rd row for my helpers. They are below 1.68m so technically should fit in

If I am not wrong the Mercedes and Me app may not work for PI car.
I think it's quite gimmicky unless I can start my car remotely? So that it's not so hot when I sit.

Otherwise mbux with apple carplay android auto is good enough for me in terms of tech.

@fulaien are you more or less have your mind set on the GLB series already?
Yup more or less.

I've driven jap cars most of my life (cars I own), Toyota and Nissan, except for when I first passed license 20 years ago, I've driven my dad's W210 occasionally.

So i thought of getting a mercs again since it's nostalgic. And since I'm driving a lexus now, the logical next car is either a M, B, A.

I toyed with the idea of E class, A6 or 5 series since I just liked sedan (I honestly don't like suv, and worse mpv), but recently I hired an additional helper so sedan is out.

If you shortlist M, B, A suv (with 7 seater, you are left with:
GLB
GLS
216 grantourer
X7
Q7

I ruled out BM because of the image and poorer reliability, and Q7 and GLS is quite expensive.

So technically left with glb.

I'm just curious about the difference between AD and PI GLB, but all these "experts" want to tell me to get C, E, S and maybach lol.

Yes glb is slow and tight at the 3rd row, but it's really the only car that fit my needs now. If I don't need to carry so many people I prob choose the panamera. 4 people just nice. Next car perhaps.

Since you have already more or less made up your mind, then just go for it.

Just sharing a bit. BMW make really good cars since 2019.
