My AudioSG aeron remastered made in USA (saw the tag). Came to this thread to research about mesh tear. Used for about 5 years suddenly got small tear, then seem to be growing bigger bit by bit, similarly to a post last year few pages away. Can't post photo on mobile.
Did AudioSG honour the warranty? My back mesh just torn after 4 years -.-

Is it cut by sharp object or wear and tear till torn? So far banks bought so many, I didn’t see many torn ones. Even the cui china chairs also looked quite ok.

the chair just suddenly tear from normal usage, no warning signs also. not sure if it is a sign to "upgrade" to embody or just get a cheapo chair

I owned both models, it’s actually quite a different sitting experience with either one hence won’t say it’s an upgrade or downgrade.

I own the sercret lab chair and did replace my chair to their new PU in 2020, now it already started to peel like a snake and i dont like the cup seat design as it hurt my side when i lean on a side, i looking for a replacement and was looking for a chair like Embody
i dont want mesh cause i think it tore easily, anyone had suggestion on chairs style like Embody? trying to find if there is similar or lower price version.

So tempted to buy this Herman Miller Aeron from Shopee. $942.

So many reviews saying back mesh torn after just 2 to 3 years of usage and warranty is hit or miss. Haiz.

Hi! Anyone here can comment on Steelcase Leap V2?
Seems it is one of the highly rated by angmoh chairs as well.
It has a mesh-ish? Back but normal seat.

I think $942 is a good price to get, I bought mine at $1.6k and it broke after 4 years. Still no response on the warranty.. Just curious how much the bros here got their logitech embody for?

Wow. Is it tear on the mesh also? Seems like a grey area. Some say can be replaced via warranty and sometimes cannot.

yes, mine is the mesh tear also. AudioSG support still yet to reply me..
based on the experience of the bros here, I am quite sure that I need to top up $$ to fix the mesh.
tbh quite disappointed with the reliability of the Aeron

Ya man. I actually started looking at Aeron because of how durable it is and the comfort level. Then came across so many people having issues about the back mesh giving way. I saw one guy in SG paid $260 for the replacement caus HM didn't support it. Sad!

The Aeron classic mesh actually very lasting , but when remastered come out they seem to wanna make more comfort for the mesh so maybe reduce the toughness. Somemore half of them is made in China thats why ....
