How to get the Tp-link hb-611 for $29.90?

This is as per the report in SingTel 1Gbps thread.

Just click the link mentioned above to sign up the SingTel 5Gbps recontract offer at S$29.90 per month.

As per the link the provided one is the lousy SingTel AX5400 device, but the report says that SingTel HB611-SGST is provided instead.

Let's wait for more confirmations to see if more users are able to get this recontract offer.

The report in Singtel 1Gbps thread for reference.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singtel-1-gbps-fibre.5930834/page-255
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singtel-1-gbps-fibre.5930834/page-256

Now Singtel got a better recontract offer for existing customers: 5Gbps at S$29.90 per month, if you do not mind using ONR.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/fibre-5g
https://www.singtel.com/content/dam/singtel/Ads_TermsAndConditions/fibre-recon-jan-2025-1a.pdf
All offers are valid till 28 February 2025 and for existing Fibre Broadband customers only. Promotion is valid
for existing Singtel Fibre Broadband customers and who have fulfilled at least 21 months of their 24 month
Fibre Broadband contract.
(Singtel may extend or change this offer)

You're recontracting to:
Singtel Fibre Broadband Plan
(24-month contract applies)

5Gbps Enhanced plan at $29.90/mth (U.P. $95.90/mth)
Comes with 1 unit of Singtel AX5400 WiFi 6 mesh device

Fibre Plan includes:

Home Line
12 months of Disney+ Premium subscription on us (U.P. $18.98/mth applies thereafter)
12 months of Amazon Prime subscription on us (U.P. $4.99/mth applies thereafter)
12 months of Broadband Protect subscription on us (U.P. $3/mth applies thereafter)
3 months of Microsoft 365 Family subscription on us (U.P. $14.80/mth applies thereafter)
1 month of Security Suite Triple Protect and Parental Control Pass subscription on us (U.P $19.20/mth applies thereafter)
1 month of Spotify Premium subscription (U.P. $10.98/mth applies thereafter)

You can try the link or the 5Gbps $29.90 first to see if it works.

If get rejected, then think of other plans.

From the terms and condition for this current 5 Gbps $29.90 promo, it seems like not mentioned it is for targeted customer only. The 3Gbps $29.90 promo did mention then.

Managed to recontract to the 5Gbps $29.90 plan via the link.

Yes, yes. I am the one who complains no ONT.

But price then don’t have $29.90. They offered $5x.xx for 5Gbps and don’t allow me to recontract to the 3Gbps plan as it was for targetted customer. Think StarHub $29.55 success make SingTel swallow their pride this time. Thanks, StarHub!

Hope to get the ZTE ONR so that can try to bridge.

Oh, of course can continue to use analog line (vs digital voice) and the free Disney plus, Amazon prime etc also a swaying factor to consider this ONR plan. So sorry for being fickle minded. :(

Update : TMD, give HB611 (Tplink), WAN only 2.5Gbps only. Need to get the Asus BT10 then. Haiz...

how come the page stated "Comes with 1 unit of Singtel AX5400 WiFi 6 mesh device", but you mentioned it comes with HB611?

As per the report by @cstanhwz --> the last quoted post.

Singtel recontract offers mentioned in this forum, since August 2024 (not including Singtel TV bundle plans). YMMV.

Singtel 1Gbps ONT recontract --> S$39.90 per month back in August 2024 (I got this offer but did not take it). No more ONT recontract as per the reports.

Singtel 2Gbps offer --> S$39.90 per month with one Singtel AX5400 mesh device (I got this offer but I did not take it) --> S$39.90 per month with two Singtel AX5400 mesh devices as per recent report

Singtel 3Gbps offer at S$29.90 per month with one Singtel AX5400 mesh device
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/5gbps-10gbps-addons-tv
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/3gbps-enhanced-plan

Singtel 3Gbps offer at S$39.90 per month with one Singtel HB611-SGST --> targeted recontract offer
https://www.singtel.com/personal/pr...k&utm_campaign=fibre-link-recon-direct-mailer

Singtel 5Gbps offer --> S$49.90 per month in August 2024 (I am paying for this one) with one Singtel AX5400 router or mesh node --> S$46.90 per month with Singtel AX5400 mesh device --> S$29.90 per month with one Singtel AX5400 mesh device (but one report says he got Singtel HB611-SGST instead).

For those who want to look for low cost Fibre Internet plans at around S$30 per month, there are many low cost choices as well. Fibre Internet plans are much cheaper in the beginning of year 2025 compared to the beginning of year 2024.

You may want to bookmark the following thread about Singapore ISP comparison.
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singapore-isp-comparisons.6665380/

Updated: 24 Jan 2025

Some notes

1. It is good to have more competitions with around S$30 (effective pricing) plans from the ISPs.

I will usually recommend Starhub and M1. But I understand people may have good reasons to go with other plans.

1) Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55 per month. Nokia XS-2426X-A ONR (AX6000 wireless) option with one free Nokia Beacon 2. Very good value for average users who do not want to pay anything extra on routers.

Recontract offer is at S$30.37 per month with the same ONR+Nokia Beacon 2 (some users got two Nokia Beacon 2).

2) Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55, ONT option without router. Very good value for those who do not want to use ONR but their own router.

Recontract offer is at S$30.37 per month with ONT+TP-Link EX510.

3) M1 6Gbps offer with two-pack of ZenWiFi BT10 at S$59.90 per month. If you value the two-pack of BT10 at about S$720 or more, then the effective price is at S$29.90 for 6Gbps no-frills plan. Some users are able to sell the two units at about S$800 to lower the effective price at S$26.57 per month.

Recontract offer may be even better for 6Gbps plan. S$32.90 per month with free Archer BE805, or S$44.90 per month for a pair of ZenWiFi BT10. If selling the Archer BE805 at S$240, the effective price is at S$22.90 per month. If selling the two BT10 at S$720, the effective price is at S$14.90 per month.

4) Singtel 3Gbps plan at S$29.90 per month for selected new customers only (Singtel mobile customers who want to switch to Singtel for Fibre Internet).

Existing users may get 5Gbps offer at S$29.90 per month (updated on 24-Jan-2025).
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/fibre-5g

5) SIMBA 10Gbps plan at S$29.99 per 30 days.

6) WC 2.5Gbps plan at S$24 per month (very good for recontract users). New users need to pay NLT charge of S$61.04 and installation charge of S$54.50 and the effective price of S$28.81 per month.

7) WC 10Gbps plan at S$28.99 per month (very good for recontract users). New users need to pay installation charge of S$54.50 and the effective price of S$31.26 per month.

8) VQ limited time promotion of 3Gbps plan at S$29.98 per month (no frills plan).

Then we have legacy M1 500Mbps and Starhub 500Mbps plan at about S$30.45 per month for those users who stick to the two plans (no need to recontract to continue the same pricing).

You can see that the above-mentioned latest recontract offers are in general better than typical price listed in Singtel Fibre Internet page.

Singtel 2Gbps Enhanced Plan with Singtel AX5400 router --> S$43.90 per month for new users

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/newbb (new user offer)

It is the same for Starhub --> you have to know the special offers, If not the typical website offer is more expensive.

This is the reason I keep updating the Singapore ISP comparison thread to collect the offers. You may want to bookmark the following page (just read the first page will do).
https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/threads/singapore-isp-comparisons.6665380/

Example: Starhub 5Gbps plan

1) Starhub 5Gbps offer at S$29.55 per month which is meant for new users. But existing users are able to sign up as new users and cancel the existing line upon installation.
ONR option --> Nokia ONR (WiFI 6 AX6000, 10G LAN port) + Nokia Beacon 2 (1G ports only, AX1800)
ONT option --> no router bundle, you need to use your own router

Initially the ONR promotion is a hidden link.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/st...speed-5gbps-onr-at-2955_ultraspeed-5gbps.html

Then user modified the above URL and found the ONT promotion link.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/st...speed-5gbps-ont-at-2955_ultraspeed-5gbps.html

Later they add a more obvious link for the ONR option only.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/forms/hubbing/exclusive-5g-promo.html

2) Starhub 5Gbps recontract offer at S$30.37 per month (maybe targeted offer), no Web link
ONR option --> Nokia ONR (WiFi 6, AX6000, 10G LAN port) + Nokia Beacon 2 (used to be two units, now only one unit, 1G ports only, AX1800)
ONT option --> lousy TP-Link EX510 (1G capable only), better to use your own router.

3) But if you go to official Starhub website, you only see the following.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/broadband/5gbps.html
ONR option --> Nokia ONR, S$45 per month
ONT+HB710 --> S$48.92 per month

maybe the technician provided a wrong item? lol:s22:

but nevertheless, that's a decent WiFi-7 device

Please refer to the below confirmation from cstanhwz in SingTel 1Gbps thread.

Let's wait for others reports to see if this is the new direction or an anomaly.

Hi Xiaofan, yes, it is mentioned in the contract agreement which they sent to me.

Come to think of it, there was a post saying supposed to get the WIFI7 router based on the same contract agreement but was given the WIFI6 router instead as the initial offer was for WIFI6.

Ya, check the recontract link, it was mentioned Singtel AX5400 WIFI6. But of course, the contract agreement is final!

Will see how when they come to install and show them the contract agreement if not given the HB611.

Cannot get the $29.90 plan. SingTel say for targetted customers only. I’m on the 1+1 plan.

Which SingTel? 1688? Shop? WhatsApp? Facebook? Roadshow? Door to door sales person?

Have you clicked the link?

If you have finished 21 month contract, just click the link to see how it goes. If they reject your offer, then you can report back.

DO NOT trust just one SingTel sales person, they have many different sales channels and kind of compete with each other some times.

Any ideas what to do with a spare HB611...?

Sell it or use it as a spare AP.

The spec is between of TP-Link Archer BE230 (dual 2.5G ports, dual band WiFi 7 BE3600), about S$100 or less in Carousell) and TP-Link HB710 (dual 10G ports, triband WiFi 7 BE18000, S$192 from Starhub). Some reports say that certain Starhub shop does not check the status of the buyer.

Hi people, I need some guidance on the broadband options. I received a mailer from Singtel (3GB with HB611 @ 39.90.month) to recontract my broadband. Currently my plan is 1GB with ONT and I am paying $43+/month. I am using ASUS RT-AX86U and I am happy with the router WIFI signal and not forgetting some nice functions. I am using the WireGuard VPN to access my SG network whenever I am travelling. I read the posts about ONT and ONR thingy... which I am in dilemma now.

In case I go for 3GB or 5GB (for cost perspective) and force to use double NAT, will my WireGuard still working and any impact on PS5 gaming?

Currently my PS5, TV, AppleTV are connected to a hub and connect to one of the LAN port. If I connect directly to the ONR LAN port, will that solve my gaming issue? However I may have difficulty to connect my Smart TV and Apple TV due to different private network.

I hope to receive some guidance and solutions. Thanks

Suggestion is to move to another ISP's ONT based plan, like Starhub 5Gbps special offer at S$29.55 per month (ONT) option. You continue using all the functions of your RT-AX86U, including Wireguard VPN server. You can change to use the 2.5G port as WAN port to boost the WAN speed. Then you can also upgrade to better router in the future to fully utilize the 5Gbps bandwidth, like Asus RT-BE88U or Asus ZenWiFi BT10.

Oh I see... then I have no option to move to another ISP. Can you share with me the Starhub special offer link because from the website I cannot find any.

How about MyRepublic, are they using ONT?
