Yay, the WAN speed test for BT10 has been reinstated this morning 🥳.

uN0mb5B_d.jpeg

Seems like app and web GUI has API issue with firmware after firmware update and is fixed by an update to the app. The speed test using web GUI is still unavailable as of now. Good that Asus' backend team is actively sorting out issues ☺️ .
It is intermittent. If you're lucky, it works.
Most of the time, it just says 10Gbps up and down.
Both for the App as well as Web UI.
Perhaps it needs to load this speedtest app from ASUS whenever we access this function.
And most of the time, perhaps the ASUS servers are too busy.

Didn't take screenshots, but recall In the handful of times which I've successfully accessed this function, the upload speed is slower than testing from my iPhone. Likely CPU too weak.
Even the web UI itself seems very sluggish by today's standards.

is it just me or the 29.90 for 1gbps is only for new sign-ups.

hence existing customers who are recontracting are still stuck to the higher prices?

yes you are right. The $29.90/mth is only valid for new sign ups. For recontract customers, they will push customers to sign 2.5gbps at $39.90/mth.

Hmmm where do you see 32.90 for 6gbps?

in any case, 3gbps and above only at selected location for now.

I tried several times today using Samsung A70, S22 & S25U. It works every time except for S22. For S22, I need to delete and reinstall the Asus router app to get it to work even though the app was already updated to the same version as the rest. You may want to try with a different device or reinstall the Asus router app.

Does this mean no more ZenWiFi BT10 with 6 Gbps even if ready to top up?
It just showing what u get for free.
only when u login with ur M1 account, u can see the 2 routers choice if both are available.
6gbps plan with BT10 of cos need to top up.

I can't recontract on the first 2 days, both routers not available for selection (maybe out of stock?), i think the "next" button was grey out too.
only managed to get it done on the 3rd day, where i can finally select the BT10 and proceed..

Thanks for the updates.

The slow upload speed reported has nothing to do with M1. It may well be because of the slower CPU inside Asus ZenWiFi BT10 (Broadcom BCM6765) which causes the built-in OOkla SpeedTest utility to report lower speed of for the upload speed compared to the real upload speed M1 6Gbps plan can offer.

It would also be interesting to see what the built-in OOkla SpeedTest utility of Asus ZenWiFi BT10 can report for 10Gbps users. I believe it can not achive 8Gbps even for download. Maybe it will max out at 6.x Gbps.

This should not affect your Fibre Internet usage though, as Asus ZenWiFi BT10 can still handle 10Gbps Fibre Internet.

On the other hand, TP-Link Archer BE805 does not have the built-in OOkla SpeedTest utility even though it has a much faster CPU. No idea why TP-Link does not implement this one since lower end Starhub issued TP-Link HB710 has the OOkla SpeedTest utility built-in.
