linking will take 1 day, thereafter can transfer from CIMB SG to CIMB MY.

I setup CIMB MY OCTO, able to use it for DuitNow transfer at MY local shops :flash:. Thus, I can skip the hassle to use TnG ewallet as intermediary

Wow.. good tips! nice..

Noob question :s34: ... that'd mean using the app to scan DuitNow QR code at the shops to make payment, right? I'll have to set that up (might have turned off under 'Security' option), as an alternative payment. method...

Yup, login to the app then scan the DuitNow QR.
Payment will be made from your deposit account.

Interesting, my TNG ewallet somehow got upgraded from Pro to Premium, but by right we cannot buy any of the premium things in order to upgrade from Pro to Premium, because we not malaysian? All those insurance, investment etc all need to be malaysian from the TnC.

Use theaccount meaning like? ATM withdraw or use the debit card?
Can it be like within a year there are transfer of money to and back?

Yes i believe ATM withdrawal orsspending should be fine. Transfers also counted iirc. You can always go read their TnC to confirm.

Interesting so not just me.

He means funding the SG account opening needs 1K SGD. The malaysian account afterwards no need initial amount, but i just put 1K MYR. They will deduct 20RM for the debit card fee.

Afaik, most MY bank account min amount is 20RM.

Hi all,

yesterday, was my 1st time doing my replacement CIMB debit card.
Initially I tried to go to the Bangunan UMNO Johor Bahru branch (near city square). I was tld tht my a/c was opened at Jalan Kuning Dua branch.
I had wanted to do my card replacement at the Bangunan UMNO Johor Bahru branch. Aside from my NRIC and passport, I had to provide an additional verification of a credit card / driver's license as further proof.
I did not have both a credit card or driver's license, I had not choice but to go to Jalan Kuning Dua branch to do my replacement card.

Below are the summary:
If you are replacing yr debit card at the branch where you did not open your a/c , you need to bring the below:
1) Passport
2) NRIC
3) Credit card / driver's license
Pls note: virtual NRIC / driver's license is not accepted. I think they need to do a photocopy.

Branch of where you opened yr a/c, things to bring:
1) Passport
2) NRIC

Details:
Jalan Kuning Dua
Add75, Jalan Kuning Dua, Taman Pelangi, 80400 Johor Bharu, Johor

Bangunan UMNO Johor Bahru
Add: Tingkat Bawah Bangunan UMNO, 51, Jalan Segget, Peti Surat 47, 80000 Johor Bharu, Johor

First time I replaced my debit card, similar experience. I went to Southkey, and got referred to Jalan Kuning. :s13:

I did share my experience here back then. Accounts opened via SG branch fall under Jalan Kuning.

Anyway, subsequently I just brought everything and went wherever's convenient. More like they want a photo ID, though would accept credit/debit card.

Yes, I did rem you shared yr experience with me, tht accounts opened via SG branch fall under Jalan Kuning.
I found it ridiculous that they already had both my passport and NRIC as proof of verification, they still require another form of verification (for other branches). Since CIMB are the process owner, I chose not to argue with them.

I think their system isn't all linked. When I was referred to Jalan Kuning, it's mainly because I didn't have my NRIC with me. They said to try my luck there coz Jalan Kuning had whatever info available in their system.

I feel you. Other countries like China/Thailand etc. their systems are not linked unlike SG.
Singaporeans too used to a unified system and convenience provided, so we expect the same when overseas which unfortunately is not the case. ☹️
