No one use their roaming? How was it?
Only 2 GB for international roaming, and the options to buy extra is $6 for extra 1gb?

How to sign up? The select street address, floor and unit number is blank after key in postal code. Is it the offer no more?

MAXX ONLINE $7.90 / $9.90 FLASH SALE

  1. Maxx Online $7.90 / $9.90 Flash Sale is only available on maxx.sg
  2. $7.90 Plan is valid for customers who port in successfully within 7 days from activation. You will be charged $9.90 for the 1st cycle, $5.90 for the 2nd cycle, $7.90 for 3rd to 12th cycle and $9.90 for the 13th cycle onwards. You can still enjoy this plan at $9.90 even without Port-In.
  3. “Cycle” and “month” refers to 30 days.
  4. Customers who submitted a port in request within 7 days from activation but did not port in successfully will not be eligible for the $7.90 plan.
Maxx $7.90 plan is full of catch and conditions and confusion. Just make it a permenant plan without all the conditions it will be a success, especially if it is able to make it available with physical shop purchase too and not just strictly for on-line only.

my guess is that m1 needs to "incentivise" the shop/offline channel for each sale, so it's lower margin.
the online channel ensures they get all the margin. Just a guess

m1 "missing" the 2nd month at $5.90, but pushing it back to 3rd month, does not look good. This is on top of all the patterns.

even the generous sg+my data entitlement is not a strong attraction as a main line as their local 4G coverage is the poorest between ST and SH. Sure, they are about the same as Simba (in my experience), but Simba has better roaming coverage and lower price for seniors.

if used for postpaid number parking, then i guess it's ok.

Given the cut-throat competition, it is definitely not doing itself any favour for sure. 🤔

This plan looks good. https://www.m1.com.sg/shop/detail?journey=SIMO-CONSUMER. Is there free caller ID? Also didn’t mention how to apply for eSIM

sorry, no idea about whether caller ID is included without additional charge - i assume if not mentioned, then it's not included.
i shy away from m1 mobile plans, esp the "bespoke" plans, after their fiasco 1 or 2 years ago.
Caller-ID not listed as FOC means excluded. Only difference with Singtel's $20ish offers is, there's really no contract. Anytime during those 12 months, can change plans if come across another better offer.

Activated the SIM card, inserted into phone but unable to receive OTP for the App log in.

Receiving texts or calls from other users are fine though. Is this normal considering it is M1? :s13: :s22:

it just like any new joiner onboarding process. Takes a few days to iron out all these issues

Don't think so, seems to be app or phone related issue.

I am using Dashlane for my password Manager. It was able to detect the OTP and auto fill the form although no notification or SMS appear in the phone messaging app.

Regardless, solved and pending port. :)

I had the old $14/mth recurring plan. The app gave me an option to switch to the $9.90/mth plan, which I did.

Never managed to use the full 300GB/mth quota of the old plan. Barely used even 50GB.
