cannot just sign up via the link above?

Anyone has any idea if its worth it to sign up for the red membership tgt with the recon?
I signed up via the link before and Singtel reject. So I call them and ask why. They just said the offer is not valid for me and not in their system for me, even I told them i was with them for 20 years... A CSO told me to check the promo every month, they will email or mail me the offer. Then just nice last Friday i saw the email. Sign up on Sat and approve on Sunday.

Even my offer is only below, I still got the 500mb sim card thing even it is not in my contract.. dunno why

my contract ending early June.

Tried the link on Saturday night and received SMS today saying rejected as not eligible for the scheme.

They had been sending me emails in Jan and Feb on 10G plans which I've no interest in at all.

Hi is this the best option for recon if i am on the old ONT and using asus ax6000? Also should be able to retain the free 500mb mobile boardband number like perviously irrc? Thanks!

Yes, Red Membership is worth it, you are guaranteed to not lose money at all. Firstly, It cost $80/2 Years and they give you $80 voucher to offset $80 from your broadband bills over 24months that alone you already got back your money. You also get all Red Membership free rewards deal monthly it's a no brainer to tick it.

Hi 👋

For those on 3gbps with Bridge mode, which aftermarket router would U all recommend? Is tp link be550 pro more than sufficient?

Yes, Archer BE550 Pro is good enough but may not be cost effective.

Cheaper one can be the Archer BE230 (dual 2.5G ports, dual band WiFi 7 BE3600, no 6GHz band) at about S$90 BNIB (or less now), dumped by M1 users.

Depending on the price you get for the Archer BE550 Pro, it is probably cheaper to get Archer BE805 (dual 10G ports, triband WiFi 7 BE19000) at about S$300 BNIB (or less now), dumped by M1 users.

BE550 Pro or upcoming GE550 with 5Gbps port, pricing not bad one.

It is okay to leave SingTel if you want to set up a home lab.

SIMBA 10Gbps: I do not think it is worth considering because of CGNAT and not-so-good support.

VQ 10Gbps: worth considering, you may want to pay for the Static IPv4 add-on to work around the limitations of CGNAT.

Usually I will recommend M1 6Gbps plan at S$34.90 per month (free Archer BE805) or Starhub 5Gbps plan at S$29.55 per month (free HB710) more because the value. But VQ 10Gbps plan is a fine choice for power users.
Thanks for the info, I learn alot from this forum alone. The issue is my old folk still want landline it have been more than 20 years they had the number and would not change or remove. I want to know when is the end of service for coaxial landline will be no long? I will just have VQ addon. Others can help.

No 6GHz that is strange. Is it they dont have the range that IMDA have given out.

Cheap dual band WiFi 7 routers will not have 6GHz band. Asus/TP-Link/Netgear/D-Link all have such WiFi 7 routers. All China WiFi 7 routers will not have 6GHz band either since 6GHz band is not approved for WiFi use in mainland China.

You can argue that triband WiFi 7 routers with 6Ghz band are the real "WiFi 7 routers" but the standard does not require that. This is probably because 6GHz is still not approved in some countries/regions for WiFi usage, including mainland China.

You can keep the Singtel analog line and subscribe to other ISP's Fibre Internet plan. You need to debundle the digital voice from your Singtel Fibre Internet service.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/more/telephony-services/home-digital-line

VQ OneVoice is not the same as Singtel/M1/Starhub digital voice.
https://viewqwest.com/sg/residential/onevoice/

But as mentioned, it is easier to move to Starhub 5Gbps or M1 6Gbps, in that case, you can port your Singtel Digital Voice number to Starhub/M1. Starhub digital voice is not free at S$21.4 per month. M1 digital voice is free. You need to debundle Singtel digital voice in order to port the number to Starhub/M1.

Then just cancel lah, other plans are indeed better anyway.

I don't think SingTel staff will match though, at best they will check whether you are eligible for the S$29.90 5Gbps recontract offer.

Have you clicked the 5Gbps recontract offer link?

They will either keep the Singtel ONT or issue a new Singtel ONR for your Singtel digital voice service. This is the same for those who cancel their Singtel Fibre internet service but keep their Singtel TV service.

That means it will occupy one Fibre Terminal Port.
