summary--PSP have not been fixed in GE boundary..
let me compare the PSP contested areas 2020 and 2025 boundary below.

PSP still get almost the same turf to fight in 2020 GE.
unlike some hard core opp supports think miw to fix psp in 2025.

let me explain

https://www.channelnewsasia.com/interactives/ge2025-singapore-electoral-boundary-map-changes-4992996

Cck GRC--changed

unless you think the portions removed are more psp supporters than pap, then
no one get the advantages of the change.

Opp get more SMC to fight too, For Opp, they can easier to fight in SMC, because GRC need
minority candidate.

Hong Kah North SMC—removed-- some PSP supporters will cry .
this is the only fixed constituency area..

Kebun Baru smc—unchanged

Marymount smc—unchanged

Nee Soon GRC—unchanged

Pioneer smc--unchanged

Tg pg –portion become Queentowns smc, and Added constituency area.
not a disadvantage to psp.. they can fight in new smc..

Wc—2020 plus Added constituency area,, same lah ,,psp not fixed..

YCK smc — removed small portion.

summary--PSP have not been fixed in GE boundary..

Mr Derrick Cheng, 48, who works in the motor trade industry, moved to Tampines GreenGem about a year ago with his wife and daughter. He said he voted for WP at the last election, as his previous registered address was in Marine Parade.

Mr Cheng was not aware of the new boundary changes and was surprised to learn about them. “Singapore needs an opposition voice in Parliament. If WP doesn’t contest in Tampines, then I won’t be voting. But if they do, I’ll vote for them,” he said.

Another GreenGem resident, who gave her name as Ms Phua, said she was happy to be voting in Tampines GRC at the coming polls. The 28-year-old, who used to live in another part of Aljunied GRC, said she previously voted for the People’s Action Party because her family was dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the estate.

“After I moved into Tampines GreenGem, there was a very bad rat infestation and I feel it wasn’t resolved promptly. I still see rats around these days, although not as much,” she added.

I want to say something. My YCK SMC MP is often seen engaging with residents and conduct events in the wards. But no opposition presence. Reason is simple. Last election PSP just randomly put one accountant auntie and get 39% of the votes. After that she disappears.

So by voting opposition more then they will work harder lah.

Just curious, stay for entire event or just come in for like 30 mins - 1 hr and leave?

Anyway, for PAP MPs usually everything handled by the RCs personnels in the area one then they just show face abit during events.

I don't even know who is my exact MP in Marine Parade GRC, but their faces plastered all over the HDB lifts, etc.

Areas with opposition presence 'diluted, mixed up, sliced and diced': Ex-WP MP Leon Perera reacts to boundary changes

Areas with opposition presence 'diluted, mixed up, sliced and diced': Ex-WP MP Leon Perera reacts to boundary changes

Former Workers' Party (WP) MP Leon Perera has criticised changes to electoral boundaries which have impacted areas with opposition presence.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday (March 12), Perera wrote: "The recently announced electoral boundary changes make it much harder to rework the boundaries in our Parliament and politics, even slightly."

The former Aljunied GRC MP added that areas that alternative parties have been working in have become "diluted, mixed up, sliced and diced in perhaps the most far-reaching set of boundary changes in a generation".

"These changes are OK if we want to maintain one dominant voice and one dominant narrative in our country," said Perera.

"If you see a value in alternative voices and political balance in our democratic society, please consider giving whatever you can give towards that endangered cause. Give progress a chance," he added.

Perera resigned from WP in July 2023 after a past affair with Nicole Seah, his fellow party member at the time, was exposed by a video leaked online.

He was spotted campaigning with the Progress Singapore Party (PSP) earlier in 2024 and posts regularly about the party's activities to this day.

Despite this, Perera and PSP previously said he was assisting the party and was not a member.

He also announced in January this year that he has relocated to New York City for work, declining to comment when asked if he will be contesting in the coming General Election.
