No
Motorcycle NOT in the wrong.

It was red light already and all cars stopped.

He.filtered to right lane, guess cos he's turning right and there's a Motorcycle already there on the lane

If he didn't filter, guess she would have charged through red light and hit the traffic
Yeah, shld slow down...
Dnt know why she step on accelerator ..

Driver, 30, arrested after accident involving elderly motorcyclist

https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...after-accident-involving-elderly-motorcyclist

SINGAPORE - A 70-year-old man was taken to hospital unconscious after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a car in Bartley Road East.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it was alerted to the accident at the junction of Bartley Road East and Airport Road on March 15 at about 4.40pm.

In response to media queries, the police said the accident involved a car driven by a 30-year-old woman, who was arrested for careless driving without due care and attention, causing hurt.

SCDF said the motorcyclist was taken to Changi General Hospital.

Images posted on Facebook show a white car at a road junction with a fallen motorcycle in front of it. Several people, including SCDF paramedics, are seen tending to a man lying on the road.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Doesn't really matter who is right or wrong.

Uncle is dead. We can curse and swear at the woman until the cows come home and he is not magically springing back to life.

I've had all 3 of my bike licences for 25 years. During these 2+ decades I've experienced the roads becoming more cluttered and the standard of driving with the introduction of automatic cars going from bad to worse to downright dangerous for bikers. Riding in Singapore these days feels like stepping into the brushes in Australia - everything out there could possibly end your life.

Gave up riding 2 years ago because my wife told me, "you have a 2 year old daughter now, still want to continue riding?"

I miss the thrill but I very much prefer to continue breathing for a long time.

RIP uncle, and if any of you still want to keep your two wheels, please be extra safe.

2years jail time at best
The mercedes driver who was speeding 169kmh while drunk and killed a piano teacher was jailed 7 yrs if i remember correctly.

This one not really speeding or drunk so 2 yrs jail sounds reasonable

Most likely distracted by phone. No other explanation.

She thought slowing down so can see phone for awhile.

Yeah, shld slow down...

There is another possibility. Nearly happened to me once. I was moving off somewhere in my carpark when I for sole reason wanted to drive barefoot so slipped off my slippers. Bear in mind I haven’t tapped the accelerator yet just moving off by releasing the brake pedal.

I wanted to slow cos approaching the gantry but the brake pedal wouldn’t go down no matter how hard I pressed. I panic a bit and looked down and saw a slipped had gone under the brake pedal so that was what was stopping it from going down. With one foot, kicked the slipper away and braked.

I had only travelled a very short distance (not yet reached the gantry I was approaching) and from then on, if I ever drove barefoot, either my slippers are at the passenger side or I kick my self and don’t do it

So I think it’s possible it happened in this case but lady was driving barefoot for a long time but just as she was approaching the traffic junction, the footwear slipped under the brake pedal and she couldn’t brake and she didn’t accelerate just that vehicles around her was stopped so it seems like that way

my two cents

 seriously ?

https://www.thezebra.com/resources/driving/driving-with-both-feet/

I thought only stunt driver drive w 2 feet. But mostly wear helmet for safety.
I used to drive with two feet but my car was manual one

then I rented an auto car and my car wouldn’t move even as the rev was high and handbrakes down. Then I realised I was using my left leg to jam in the brake thinking it was the clutch 😂

Had to control my left leg a lot and remind myself it’s now an auto car and not manual

Wouldn't have hit black bike. Watch the video again. The black bike stopped at the extreme right side of the lane. The car went straight along the left side of the lane.
The point is ah pek see space beside black bike then move in. There was nothing wrong with wat he did.....

I never said what ah pek did was wrong. Accident fault 100% with car driver. My reply is to your earlier post on the presence of black bike on the lane where ah pek was hit. Black bike wasn't saved by ah pek getting hit. Was that what you were trying to imply? Even if ah pek didn't change lane and car sped ahead, black bike wouldn't have been hit by car because of their respective positions on that lane.

The lane width can accommodate 2 bikes to be first in line. Nothing wrong with my statement. It's not like car where only 1 car can be first in line, next car has to line up behind. Watch the video again. Ah pek changed lane because he didn't want to line up behind a car in 2nd lane. He die die wanted to be first in line on lane 1 extreme right lane. Both lanes were right turning lanes, so being on either lane 1 or 2 doesn't matter.

听说下corner的时后, one can breathe easily and air is fresher. Your mind is so focus & determination act stronger. At that point you are in peace & calm.

That's possible. I always prefer the bare foot when driving. But I'm mindful that my footwear must place deeper in.

The black bike lift up his leg before impact
