He means like a pop up
Pop up on line key board and use mouse and click

There's a windows tool to switch a key. It's called Microsoft powertoys.

You swap the key lor. Change U to say another key. Can use windows or alt since got both.

Downside u is quite frequently type need to get used to the change.

thanks. will use ALT+85 or 117to generate letter U for now.

Thanks for this idea. If no better solutions, will probably still have to get a new keyboard. But will tide over for now.

time to open it up and give it a good wash...

make sure fully dry before reassemble back
