My keyboard's letter u not working. How to cre it?

For laptop keyboard, its possible to fix a problematic key if its a mechanical issue like the switch being broken. I bought replacement switches from taobao before to fix my laptop’s Enter key and Backspace key. Even though it may be cheaper to change out the whole keyboard, there’s a risk of damaging the laptop if you don’t know how to DIY.

conventional keyboard. u switch is dead meaning the condctive pad or the piece of plastic which makes up the u key?

The pad probably has some dirt or dried residue. You need to disassemble the whole thing.
