I stay condominium. Recently some Sporean neighbours have openly expressed their non-pap voting inclination. Although anecdotal, perhaps there is some truth that private estate voters are less inclined to vote for incumbents.
This cannot be!! This must not be!!! :(

The more affluent group have less worries so dare to let their voices heard via the votes. Less likely to kpkb online.

Joo Chiat almost won by WP before. So Yee JJ can become NCMP.
Looks like they wanna surrender East Coast to WP by moving Joo Chiat to East Coast.
Macpherson move into Marine Parade is to safeguard Marine Parade...

HSK may have lost his star power alr, now not much portfolio waiting for retirement. Hope that East Coast voters will rmb the bait and switch and just vote out the MIW this time

felt more like WP will go all out at MP rather than EC this time round

Private estate no free lift upgrading, no free exterior repainting, no home improvement program, no fear.

Where will they field Harpreet? Anyone know which area is he covering? The WP team with Harpreet will be quite interesting to see the results

likely someone will step out of aljunied n lead a strong team...but is it MP or EC, i think, will only unveil at the super last min during nomination day. till then, everyone will be kept in suspense.

meanwhile, small fry opposition continue to make endless noises...

Will he contest?

Jackie Wong, a resident of High Park Residences condominium, told AsiaOne that he wasn't aware of Ng's visit to the area.

Wong, an IT officer, did feel that it was likely Ng was trying to contest for the seat, but he wasn't looking forward to it.

"I don't like the People's Action Party (PAP)," the 51-year-old said bluntly, adding that he would vote for the opposition as long as he can.

He hopes that the opposition will be able to address bread-and-butter issues such as cost of living and inflation.

But another resident, Johnson Tong, said that although he didn't know about Ng's house visits because he was overseas, he feels that would be a sign that he might be trying to contest for the seat.

"He contested Sengkang GRC, so I think he should be quite familiar with this area… I think it would be good for him to contest for the Jalan Kayu SMC," the 36-year-old senior account manager said.

He said that the opposition has a fighting chance, saying that are more younger people in the area

TBH, Aljunied GRC only got 2 heavyweights, It's either Pritam / Sylvia, and likely Pritam staying in Aljunied if anything.

This is very unlikely, since they benefit from asset appreciation from their condos, the last thing they need is lower condo prices after election

The boomers, and the poorest folks are typically the ones who voted for PAP

Most likely is Pritam who stay in Marime Parade GRC or Sylvia Lim who has been in parliammet for 19 years to take the gamble
