Don't look down on small parties. In westminister system, most opposition parties have to eventually form a coalition to topple the ruling govt in parliament. It usually consist of one big party and many smaller parties. And when the coalition wins a tight race and need just a couple of members to vote for the PM, the small parties become kingmakers.

The small parties in UK have to win at the elections first mah to then join forces in parliament. Our small 3rd tier oppo parties have not reached this stage and they are already disorganized and fighting with each other.....
