Not all of them are diehard lah.
Some of them already enjoyed too much "goodness" from the prince.
They should have repented.

As for SG100, I dun think sg inc can tahan so long judging from the competence of the present batch.
It will only get worse from 2025.
Getting to SG80 would be some miracle.
That is provided that Earth dun reset before that.

See if can pass SG70 first
SEZ n RTS coming up
these 2 will put more nails on the coffin...

PAP’s slate of new faces shapes up with 30 likely names; party could field younger group, more women
https://www.straitstimes.com/singap...es-party-could-field-younger-group-more-women
[highlights]:
In all, The Straits Times has identified around 30 new faces who could stand in the upcoming election. Among them are senior civil servants, C-suite executives and long-serving grassroots volunteers.

This is in line with the party’s practice of refreshing between a quarter and a third of its slate each term. As Singapore’s next Parliament will have 97 elected members, it is likely to field between 24 and 32 new faces.

Women in PAP politics

About 40 per cent of the potential candidates are female, which means 12 new women candidates could be fielded in 2025.

This is up from 37 per cent in GE2020 and under a quarter in 2015.

Public sector crucial, but more private sector high-fliers desired

On March 26, PM Wong spoke of the challenges in getting candidates from the private sector.

“For someone who is in the private sector, who is very successful, for example, in his 30s or 40s... potentially moving into a senior leadership position in a firm, MNC (multinational corporation) or large local company, the sacrifice is much greater,” he said.

“It is not just a recent phenomenon. That has always been the case. It has always been difficult.”

Slightly younger slate, signs of a nascent 5G?

The slate of new faces identified so far for the upcoming election is 40.5 years old on average.

This is about two years younger than the average ages in the past two general elections, though slightly higher than 2011’s average of 39.1 years.

nothing to do with that bah.
you know there are some who reluctantly stand for election just because they were requested to?

so these people will serve a term or two and drop out.

anson's might be that guy's lucky day, don't need to serve at all!
Tiagong Chua Kim Yeow was also reluctant but he had to run against ong Teng Cheong so that there would be a vote

The small parties in UK have to win at the elections first mah to then join forces in parliament. Our small 3rd tier oppo parties have not reached this stage and they are already disorganized and fighting with each other.....
Only WP and PSP is popular enough to win any seats in the parliament, the rest of the opposition parties are either too dormant or shoot their mouth too much

Lim Tean's actions draws more critisism and condemnation than praise because he contest election for personal grudge and splitting of votes between 2 small parties and not to win any seats

Let's start from these 2 parties. Let the people decide in the next 5 years if either PAP is relevant or the need for more alternative ideas is required.

We needed the 1 party system in the past to lead us to where we are. We are both extremely grateful and lucky. I say lucky becoz the 1G leaders was not corrupt, except 1 or 2, in dispensing their duties.

That phase has ended, the citizen are more mature and highly educated today.

A 1 party-majority Govt is not efficient anymore.

We require brainstorming in parliament for alternative views. Stop the egoistic mentally that my idea is the only idea mentally to come up with the best policies for the people.

Many staunch PAP supporters don't understand this. They still think to maintain the status quo is the best.
