When asked what would happen to the master plan should the town council change hands in the upcoming election, Josephine Teo, Member of Parliament and anchor minister for Jalan Besar GRC, acknowledged that a change in the constituency’s incumbent party is possible and that the team would ā€œrespect the residents’ choicesā€.

But ā€œthe question of whether they are familiar enough with the town, the question of whether they know what our residents want, will certainly be something to keep in mindā€, she said.

Teo added that she hopes that the residents will allow the team the opportunity ā€œto bring these plans into fruition on their behalfā€. #MothershipGE2025

The whole point of the plan is so you vote in the party that had a plan, and they can make it happen.
You vote in the other party, and expect the plan to still come?
You outta your mind man.

I dun share your optimism with SK leh.

The RK replacement dun look strong while the existing three look tired.

Was hoping they send an old bird to SK.

Anyway, still early and let's see how things go.
Ting Ru did well in the recent podcast interview with Ketchup.
I guess she will play the leading role in campaign.
It is time for her to step up and become one of the pillar for the party.

Hosted DPM Swee Keat and our East Coast colleagues on a walk around the heart of Joo Chiat — filled with good vibes, great conversations, and genuine community spirit.

From cars slowing down to say hello, to pet owners out for their morning walks, the warmth from our residents brightened our day! We’re very humbled by the support and encouragement from neighbours, shopkeepers, and familiar faces who stopped to chat or wave.

We’ll keep walking the ground and building a stronger East Coast — together.

Back to 7% won't help to reduce price one.
of course it will. you can bet coffeeshops will drop prices

Also, they support DEI ah? If hiring prioritize sinkie means hire not based on experience and skills but on diversity. So much for meritocracy.
not everyone hires spass or wp out of merit. in many cases, the boss just wants someone from the same country. so there's already no meritocracy

Bto house already so cheap till ppl can flip for 3-4x profit. How much cheaper want to be sia.
you don't want cheap? cheap housing is always good

Single why need wait till 28, earlier cannot meh

no gst for essentials means rich also earn leh, better to collect gst and give back to needy via gst cash.
use means testing and implement gst reduction via chas card tiers

It's time to adopt VAT. there's no need to tax on necessities. Taxing the same on necessities and luxury goods is regressive. Luxury goods should be taxed at least 30%

The reality is whatever master plan is not generated or managed by the TC or the advisor.
As for bringing the plan to fruition, the residents dun need to pay GST or tax if they choose the other party, is it ?
