definitely. You're free to sign up with any SH agent. Just sharing info for those that thought they're ineligible for the offer as they're existing SH user.

@ Xiaofan SiFu, I going install SH 5Gbp at 29.50 with HB710 Router.
currently I am using MX 4200 Linksys mesh, one in the utility Box and one at my Master room using wire backhaul connection. Currently able to receive internet for whole HDB 5 Rm flat.
So, Do u suggest , is it better to purchase another TP - link HB810 from SH and with the HB710 to form easy-mesh ? Is the range will be better than my current? Thanks in advance

Your info is confusing. Do you have LAN port in Level 2? It seems you have a typo and you only have LAN ports in Level 1 and Level 3 but NOT Level 2. Is that correct?

1) M1 option will be better if just compared the two options you mentioned.

But my suggestion will be get a better main router like ROG GT-BE98, then use the two ZenWiFi BT10 units as the mesh nodes only.

ZenWiFi BT10 has a weak CPU and may not be able to handle the duty as the main router for the 3-nodes or 4-nodes system.

2) TP-Link EasyMesh is not good as AImesh so no point to consider HB710 + EB810v option if compared to the M1 option (Asus AImesh).

3) The other option is to get Starhub 5Gbps, but then sell the HB710 and get 3 nodes of TP-Link Deco BE85. Deco Mesh is not as feature rich as Asus AImesh but may be more stable.

4) If budget allows, then go for better options like Ubiquiti Unifi. Please go to the Ubiquiti thread to ask for suggestions in that case.
Thank you for your response. Yes no LAN port on level 2. I am connected to the level 3 router (LAN port).

Just searched up that router and looks very expensive.. you're suggesting the ROG GT-BE98 on the first floor and the BT-10s on the other two floors right?

Would 3 units of BT-10 Be unusable?

Yes. The more powerful router as the main router in the first floor.

You can try with three ZenWiFi BT10 and hope it works. Worst case is to bite the bullet and buy the ROG GT-BE98 when you encounter stability issues.

Thanks! If I wanted to keep to Telco provided routers the 3 bt10 would be best?

Please do not @ me for the question. The question may be ignored. The reason is simple, others may not want to answer already. And my answer may be wrong or biased.

EB810v + HB710 should be fine.

Take note HB810 is from Singtel. EB810v and HB710 are from Starhub.

Hi bros, thank you for all the knowledge shared.

I just renovated my BTO and am looking at broadband services as a new user.

Unfortunately I don't see the 5gbps deal available on their website anymore!

What's the next best alternative if I am unable to get this?

Starhub 5Gbps offer with free HB710 online link is no longer valid.

This link redirects to the following 3Gbps offer as of 12-April-2025.

Starhub 3Gbps offer with HB410 (not as good as the 5Gbps offer).

Starhub 5Gbps offer with free HB710.
https://www.starhub.com/personal/forms/hubbing/exclusive-5g-promo.html

The above link now redirects to 3Gbps offer at S$29.55 per month with free HB410, which is much worse.

Let's see whether Selina can still get this one done today and tomorrow.
Yes. Hearsay from her this weekend the 5gbps plan at 29.55 is ending. Will become 3gbps. Those who havent sign up thru her better mtl ... go sign up through Selina at 8116 1630

Looks like Starhub is getting enough new users and retain most of existing users, so they get rid of the 5Gbps offer with free HB710.

Now the best offer for new users will be M1 6Gbps offer at S$34.90 per month
https://shop.m1.com.sg/fbb/plans-bundles/fbb-plan?plan=HOMEPAC_6GBPS_24o not think so and it is time
Do not think so and users should start to feedback to Starhub to highlight the issue of high price for their 10G internet and Homehub+ Ultraspeed which is at $110/mth and now no more free Disney. Thinking of End of contract, just terminate the services. If 10G internet is cheap then all will jump over to 10G internet and no need for 5G plan.

Guys, I was thinking of switching to Starhub 5gbps from M1 as M1 6gbps is not available in my area.
Contacted m1 and they told me termination notice need to be 14 days in advance.
Say if I terminate today, my internet supply will be terminated with immediate effect, but the port m1 will take 2 weeks to release. During this period of 2 weeks, m1 will continue to charge my subscription.
Does that mean I can only arrange starhub to install in 2 weeks time? Or I can ask them to install at their earliest available date, since we have 2 ports naturally.

2.4GHz tends to be slow for all WiFi 7 routers, including HB710 and EB810v.

In fact, you can say 2.4GHz is in general slow in Singapore due to congestions, no matter which routers you use, no matter it is WiFi 6/6/7.

In general do not count on 2.4GHz band for your main devices like PC and mobile phones.
