if he wanted to do it on his own merit and he thinks SMC is the only way to prove himself,
then he would have started doing grassroot and groundwork in an existing SMC (because that time, you wont know theres's a Jln Kayu SMC.)

If you really want to prove yourself... you will even wrest control of an existing SMC from someone else... and put that someone into a GRC..

Unfortunately, talk is cheap. Action speaks louder than words.

and right now... it is call parachute.

SINGAPORE - You have high standards for how life should be, you are not distracted or overly sensitive. You are paying attention.

This is Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s message to young Singaporeans and first-time voters posted on social media in a two-minute video released on April 13.

Rebutting online remarks featured in the video that Gen Zs are ‘soft’, ‘full of themselves’ and ‘lack resilience’, PM Wong said such comments miss the full picture and fail to see something crucial about the generation.

”Your generation embodies a new desire to not settle for the status quo and with the way the world is moving. We hear you. I hear you,” PM Wong.

”For many of you, this will be your first time voting, and it will be my first time standing for election for a chance to lead our nation.

“I take my role seriously. I want to be able to lead our country well.”

PM Wong added that he wants to work with the young to take on challenges to come, and he sees many things that should be improved.

"The National Trades Union Congress (NTUC) has expressed its support for the sale of a majority stake in Income Insurance, formerly known as NTUC Income, to the German insurer Allianz.

The announcement — shared by NTUC Secretary General and former People’s Action Party Minister Ng Chee Meng"

When I see his face, this old news always pop up in my mind.... many rejected this in futile and the deal almost went through...

I was thinking about this in the afternoon. I think if put him in GRC, he consider asset or liability? Also, he is anchor or taking a ride on anchor? Also, unclear how he will be perceived by the voters and affect the team.
