NSP can say they contest in 10KKJ since 1988 but then the anti PAP voters voted them because no other choice, if got more credible opposition 95-98% of the anti PAP votes goes to the more credible opposition

if he wanted to do it on his own merit and he thinks SMC is the only way to prove himself,
then he would have started doing grassroot and groundwork in an existing SMC (because that time, you wont know theres's a Jln Kayu SMC.)

If you really want to prove yourself... you will even wrest control of an existing SMC from someone else... and put that someone into a GRC..

I agree with your point. Him running for Jalan kayu smc? Somehow feel it is unfair to the current MP who has been serving the residents for years. If you want to enter via your own merit, your work should have started years ago even before the announcement of the SMC.
