After decades of supporting the opposition, many residents of my estate are now in their senior years. Politics has taken a backseat in their lives; they find joy in the simplicity of everyday comforts. While efforts to win their hearts with extravagant offerings like abalone porridge have been made, they now prefer the straightforward satisfaction of plain porridge.
Ah abalone porridge. Ur estate still exists as an smc?

My MP is doing an awful job! The estate is filthy, and it’s clear he doesn’t care at all. This is likely going to be his last term after barely winning back the town from the opposition!

mine knock door two years ago happily inform painting wall soon . then no more sound .

If they are using schools as voting centres again, then no. Need to wait for school holiday. The next school holiday period is from end of may till end of june. So if they are holding it during that period, we may hear something (announcement of election date) during mid may but election in june.
Otherwise, the final opportunity they have is the 1 week school holiday in sept since elections have to be held by late Nov.
:(

huh? everytime use schools one and not necessarily school holidays, 2015 and 2011 and 2006 are help on Sep and early mays

Whether your MP got do his/her work is represented by how Town Council treats your complaints/requests for assistance. True?

I think it is good to decide who to vote is based on that as well. Recent news on a family who was hapless when water was seeping into their house for years without any solutions from Town Council is really bad ....
If everyone votes according to how the town council functions then where is the mechanism for people to vote according to whether they approve or not approve the current direction the ruling party is going?
