Dental appointments, I just go JB. Don't even need appointment. I called and told them I wanted an appointment. They were dumbfounded. They asked why I needed an appointment when they have 17 dentists on standby, so I drove in and sure enough they did wisdom tooth extraction for my helper, on the spot, no queue no appointment.

sounds very scary...
17 hungry dentists waiting for income that day...

1 teeth can quench their thirst or not?

I was shocked when I only had to pay $27 for consultation fee. The rest was deducted from Medisave.

Really saved a lot of money as no need to front money out of pocket. That is the only advantage of using government healthcare services.

But to be fair nowadays the local government healthcare doctors/dentists are very young and professional. Super polite some of them.

Compare to when I was young most of the doctors can be quite stucked up.

Indeed. Singapore healthcare is comprehensive and affordable. Really cannot complain much.

Hi All.

How to make polyclinic appointment - Sengkang or Tampines poluclinic? I use health buddy. Always there is no slot. I was told I must book appoint at 10pm the previous night. Still there is no slot. Tried now for weeks already. Can I just walk in early in the morning? Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.
avoid busy days like monday

try the app at different times, often slots may appear when people give up their appointments due to last minute cancellations

yes, try walk-in in the morning, then u may get a appointment slot in the afternoon

Depends on the poly clinic, some are forever crowded while some are quite empty. Walk in to get Q number last Sat about 7.30am, got a slot to see doc at 8.10am.

Some polyclinics, I think most of the time, have limited/no slots because they are located in a big hdb estate, you know the reasons....go GP if possible...

Night time book after 10pm; i believe more slots are freed up in the morning as well. Also, there are different slot allocations for people booking with cough fever flu etc compared to other illnesses

Medisave is also your money.

Technically yes. But I am not delusional to include Medisave as my net asset. To me it is already written off from my books. So if can use Medisave just deduct from it.

Only my next of kin will get this Medisave portion of CPF money when I uplorry.

Via health hub.

Or if your targeted polyclinic is NHGP-managed u can also use the NHGP app to book, I heard from the polyclinic staff that there are more slots released on the NHGP app.
