Hi All.

How to make polyclinic appointment - Sengkang or Tampines poluclinic? I use health buddy. Always there is no slot. I was told I must book appoint at 10pm the previous night. Still there is no slot. Tried now for weeks already. Can I just walk in early in the morning? Any input will be appreciated. Thank you.
To book successfully, u must log in at 2145hrs using health hub. At 2200hrs sharp, u must start booking liao. Try to book those ulu Polyclinics instead of the popular ones as u stand more chances.

If u fail to book online, just walk in at 0700hrs tomorrow and take ur queue number manually. Queue taking at the Polyclinics starts at 0730hrs.

I was shocked when I only had to pay $27 for consultation fee. The rest was deducted from Medisave.
Really saved a lot of money as no need to front money out of pocket. That is the only advantage of using government healthcare services.
But to be fair nowadays the local government healthcare doctors/dentists are very young and professional. Super polite some of them.
Compare to when I was young most of the doctors can be quite stucked up.

go Thailand walk in clean and polish 1000 baht or $40..

so fast and cheap..

walk-in even worst

if 8am, your available slot will be around 1.5 hrs later or 2
me knows fully well

or u might wanna take a number first, go home then come back later
Thought walk in always like that. Now still like that right, can walk in, but have to wait few hours for appointment?

That's why polyclinic in housing neighbourhood and town centre best. Can go home or go shopping before come back for appointment.

The polyclinic doctor told me last time can go walk-in early in the morning like 7 or 7.30am

Good what like that, be the first to see doc
Doesn't work that way. You go early early b4 registration starts like at the time u said, but your slot - if there's a slot ish around 11am, after all the appointment patients are done.

heard those boomers said to register at 7.30am still wait till mid day to see doc
It's depends on the luck of the draw as the early slots are usually booked by the online crowd and those with prior follow up appointments.

Try booking dental appointment to just get referral for oral related surgeries you will vomit blood! Can be months!

Nonetheless my assigned dentist is very professional and skillful!
At least u got a dental appointment. Up till nao, it has been wat more than half a decade, they still can't figure out how to get an appointment or which polyclinic I can visit for dental because some polyclinics are not under the same group or something so not supported.

No, it doesn't work that way for the polyclinic that I went to

The doctor told me to go early at 7 or 7.30am because I was supposed to go to get the blood tests results in full

She said for blood tests results, they don't do reservation appointment for it

Technically yes. But I am not delusional to include Medisave as my net asset. To me it is already written off from my books. So if can use Medisave just deduct from it.

Only my next of kin will get this Medisave portion of CPF money when I uplorry.
How about OA and SA?? Do you consider them as your net asset?? Cause any amount will flow from MA to SA and OA if your MA is max.. 😁 so if you use your MA less $$ will flow to SA and OA which by right you can withdraw them after 55 with FRS..

This only works if your turnaround time is faster than the waiting time. Even if you come back just before your appointment time, you may still have to wait additional 15-20mins.

Think impression acessing the public health service is one of the most stressful and confusing for ordinary people. So many layers and so long. Its somewhat like what many complaint about some ang-mor places one years ago so as to praise local healthcare. But from the ordinary people p.o.v see now. Like not much different. Same troublesome. :s22:

I have been making polyclinics appointment for my kids for years without problem... No sure why only you have problem. One user problem certainly does not mean our medical services going down the drain. If you said the appointments are fully booked, it means the medical services are working for others. Maybe before you start blaming the system, start by using the right apps? Try figure out why the medical system is not working for you?
Tiagong different polyclinics might have different capacity issues. Mebbe his polyclinic ish super packed?

There are two groups of polyclinics. National Healthcare Group and Singhealth. Yours is under NHG isit?
