I wonder why M1 doesn't allow new customers to sign up online instead asking people to go to their M1 Shops for the 6Gbps deal. The cost of acquiring new customers online is so much cheaper! Perhaps their web team can't cope with the constant changes in the promo! :D
Maybe so that they can upsell higher end router add-ons to less technical people.

At the M1 shop now.
New plan is 6GB for 35.90
Free Archer BE805.

Still worth it?
Just an update if anyone is interested,
34.90 still available but with BE92U. BE805 no more.

In shop only. Must have bought home in last 3 months.

Just signed up.

That is an interesting development.

Personally I do not like RT-BE92U since Asus ZenWiFI BT10 is a bit better and will come to similar price in the end. Let's see how the price of RT-BE92U will drop once M1 users start to dump it. Asus listed price of RT-BE92U is at S$399. Asus ZenWiFi BT10 listed price for two pack is at S$1299 but the real resale price is at around S$660 to S$700. So maybe RT-BE92U will drop to S$200 after sometime. Let's see.
I just bought the Asus RT-BE92U last week from Shopee Sales. My home broadband is using M1.

Wifi keeps disconnecting. Googled and found many complained about disconnection too. Have not have the time to troubleshooting. Maybe this weekend.

Looks like I am not the only one :O

Getting complaints from family members that the internet connection has been poor lately. I too feel it; regular web browsing would not load at times, but it seems a bit odd because when I do a ping test to 8.8.8.8 from another mobile device, the pages that refused to load suddenly loads. Makes me think that it could be ARP issue in my local network or DNS query not resolving 🤔
anyone face issues with their 6gbps plan? Earlier i did mentioned of disconnections and it seems last night was a nightmare every few mins it would disconnect and reconnect on my lan. I was doing some light gaming and downloading from both my desktop and laptop when both happens so can't be my network card issue. Tried rebooting ONT and router and even tried a clean installation of windows on a spare hdd, still manage to detect such disconnections. Really can't figure out where went wrong. I've turned off all the firewalls on router and windows, now monitoring again. Any gurus have any advise or experience?

I also have intermittent Internet disconnection from M1 a few times a month. I do not really notice the Internet interruptions but my son who was playing online game and game chat is very sensitive to the broadband interruptions. I called M1 a few times, and every single time M1 has checked and said there was no issues with my M1 broadband line. I initially thought it was my router but I had changed my router a few times and interruptions still occurs. I am currently still on M1 1Gbps plan, not on M1 6Gbps plan yet. I was really thinking hard whether switching to Starhub 5Gbps plan when my M1 broadband plan is due for recontract this Sept. Please let me know if anyone of you has any Starhub 5Gbps broadband stability issues. Thanks in advance :)

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience... Mine also. When I am at home alone, be it a weekday or a weekend, really no incident. But whenever I am at home with the wife and she is streaming her shows or playing her games, I noticed the random disconnection too. Sometimes lasting a few minutes, sometimes just several seconds. Cannot explain this phenomenon coz my house both have wired and wireless devices. Usually occurs on Saturdays around 11am-ish or some random weekday.

I am also on my own custom DNS/ DoT (NextDNS dot io) and enabled ipv6. Router is Asus AX-86U Pro with Asus Merlin. So not sure whether is DNS downtime or ISP issue. My M1 is 1Gbps plan too.. Am still exploring, not in a hurry.

My mom's house I recently changed from M1 to Starhub 5Gbps plan.. On promo price so just try. So far so good, using their supplied router and modem. My youngest sis who is staying there also did not report any abnormalities or disconnection. You may refer to the Starhub promo thread for the special promo sign up link.

FYI new firmware just released for be92u. My own unit is doing fine but I'm on the M1 3gbps plan, not sure if any difference from the other higher speed plans. And I always set custom DNS regardless of the router that I'm using. Also make use of the IOT wifi profile for your smart home gadgets as those are not compatible with wifi 6 & 7 signal. One of my family member still using a 5yr old Xiaomi phone, had to connect it to IOT wifi signal otherwise it won't connect to the default wifi signal at all.

I've only started monitoring BB prices since my current contract is expiring in a month. Would it be right to say that M1 current offer of 6Gbps at $35.90 with the free BE805 is the best value plan now? I also saw the 3Gbps at $32.90 with BE230 and able to sign up online (while the 6Gbps requires a visit to M1 Shop).

I am on 1Gbps currently and don't really need anything more but it is actually difficult to find a no-frill basic BB plan for user like me. I could even continue to use my existing wifi router if the basic cost is low enough.

I was lazy to jump through the hoops to get the 6gbps promo, decided to recon 1gbps to 3gbps instead. Sold off the free router and used back my ASUS router instead. 3 vs 6gbps is not huge issue for me as I could not make use of the 6gbps bandwidth even if the plan was available for me to sign.

If you are existing M1 user, the -$15 voucher might be available.

Hence, you should recontract with this voucher if possible.

After BE805 firmware update and S25U latest sw update, max throughput increased. S25U on M1 6Gbps broadband.
