Where will Lim Tean go?

Secretary-General of the People’s Alliance for Reform (PAR) Lim Tean has been spotted at a coffee shop near Kong Hwa School.

He announced last Friday that the alliance will field 14 candidates at seven constituencies, which include three of the four this nomination centre is handling - Potong Pasir SMC, Mountbatten SMC and Jalan Besar GRC.

In the last GE, Mr Lim was part of a team under the Peoples Voice banner that lost to the PAP in Jalan Besar.

Star sighting

Swimmer Joseph Schooling and his mother have been spotted at the gathering place for PAP's East Coast and Punggol teams, before they head to their nomination centre at Yusof Ishak Secondary School.

We understand Schooling, Singapore's first and only Olympic champion, could be one of the proposers for Mr Edwin Tong, who is Minister for Culture, Community and Youth.

Why would he, of all people, support PAP?

they never support and recognise him prior to his gold medal.

When he won gold medal, they are quick to jump and claim involvement.

And finally when his performance starts deteriorating, they are quick to discard him and made him go through NS even though IMO winning Singapore it's first Olympics Gold Medal is already a form of National Service.

WP new faces Harpreet Singh and Jackson Au headed to Yusof Ishak Secondary School

The two WP potential candidates have boarded the bus from Aljunied-Hougang Town Council toward Yusof Ishak Secondary School, in a sign they could be fielded in East Coast GRC or Punggol GRC.

WP chief Pritam Singh also got on the bus, sparking speculation he might be leaving Aljunied GRC, but then got off shortly after.

The school is the nomination centre for East Coast GRC, Pasir Ris-Changi GRC, Punggol GRC and Sengkang GRC.

SDA will not contest Punggol

Singapore Democratic Alliance chief Desmond Lim has arrived at the Yusof Ishak Secondary School nomination centre.

He is expected to contest in Pasir Ris-Changi GRC. Asked about Punggol GRC, he said: "Leave it to the Workers' Party."

The SDA had previously deferred its decision on where to run. The opposition party has contested the now-defunct Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC since 2006.
