Look, i know the issue of Israel-Palestine is something that most Chinese or Indians deem it as taboo and distant.

But the fact is it is a very sensitive and heartfelt issue for literally every Malay Muslim Singaporean out there. And to them, recognizing Palestine as a state is something that is a must. You might argue against it, but this is political reality. Look at how the PAP themselves are carefully dancing around the issue. And Masagos is paying a heavy price for it.

If WP wants to be seen as an actual governing party they have to consider foreign policy into their manifesto. There's no way around it. It's either they recognise Palestine (within the context of a two-state solution), or avoid it and lose the support of the Malay community.

I do not want to see our fellow Malay Singaporeans losing faith on both WP and PAP and swing to far right, fringe political parties. Ala PAS.

Unless you're telling me minority voices don't matter.

To expand on this many are unaware that even PAP advocates a two state solution. That basically means recognising Palestine as a state. Only difference is they want to work it within the UN framework and time frame.

People need to stop looking at headlines or one liners that totally put the issue out of focus or perspective. It is a political assassination tool. Only the unawares are caught in it. They also used the foreign interference as another tool to further cast doubts.

Knowledge is power. In this era it is easily attainable. Just dun conclude based on a headline.

PAP never gambles... you take a look at the measures they took for this election....

a. the gerrymandering is to the extreme... to ensure maximum optimal votes for each area
b. their lineups... you can see which areas they strongly want to win/keep and which areas they are not bothered with... to optimize resources
c. the planned schedule for the election... everything timed to their benefit... including a mayday speech as a last gasp on cooling day... its a textbook SG performance.. get a leg up and deprive the competition at the same time
d. Our current PM himself overseeing the battlegrounds real-time... until he forgot to do a press conference at the nomination centre....

they are the casino lah... what gamble... you need to understand the amount of hurdles a normal opposition politician needs to overcome to get elected in SG... its nothing short of a miracle... PAP does not believe in level playing fields... so when they lose... they lose big and inadvertently create legends... but this is on them... this is the way they shaped the game... they made the opposition politicians legendary...
