Agree. GRCs, constant electoral boundaries changes, implementation of town councils are just measures to make it harder for opposition parties to compete with the ruling party.

But seriously, we voters are not blind, we'll continue to support PAP if we find PAP doing a good job serving the citizens, why would it need to resort to all those measures just to win in elections?

Because got alot of daft ones around.
Also to tell the world how good they are. Especially when they are so hard up to get rich ppl into SG to keep up with their economy 'facade'

It was the same situation in PE's BE - 4-cornered fight. In the end WP still won...

Incidentally the PAP candidate who lost to WP's LLL in the 4-cornered fight was KPK, and KPK is also part of PAP Tampines team this time round.

Hopefully, history will repeat :)

Are folks supporting WP .. cos they're genuinely good, .. or just for the sake of 'opposing PAP'?

No doubt Michael Thng is articulate .... then again, many eloquent folks out there.

WP's Kenneth Tiong joined in 2023 ... Eileen Chong joined only in Dec 2024 (less than 5 months ago) ... and yet they're deemed suitable and ready to be fielded??

Given that a close to $200K pa allowance can be seen as a strong incentive, what's WP's criteria? Such a short runway is sufficient to accurately assess an individual's suitability?

And let's just assess WP on their own merits.

PAP has their fair share of criticisms - but are we holding WP to the same standards/expectations we levy upon PAP?

Folks often criticize PAP's MPs for not doing much .... WP's Chen Show Mao arrived with much fanfare ... served two terms .. and what's his notable achievements over the 10 years? Yup ... I struggle to recall as well.

Reading/analyzing how Pritam/WP handled (i) Raeesah, (ii) Leon + Nicole, (iii) Pritam's own criminal conviction, (iv) expulsion of members (eg. Daniel Goh) etc ...

I fear they're ruining the good work of LTK.
