What u said, every GE has been said before, not only this one, so clearly this is not a factor that will make people swing to vote for opposition.

What swings people to vote for opposition is the neglect of MP duties and politician's mistake. An example is SK, the PAP MPs didn't fight hard enough for SK residents and u could see how Lam Pin Min was so much hated in SK that time. And WP only won narrowly.

However, Punggol is different. Punggol was and still is rising star of Singapore estate. Punggol has so many amenities and infrastructure. New station opened, Punggol East is going to have a cross island line and Punggol MRT will be interchange. There are good PAP MPs there and with Harpreet's misinterpretation of Punggol in his speech, I am leaning towards a PAP win in Punggol and a shift back to PAP in SK.
That LP face cock up the handling of the PMD issue and incurred so much wrath from delivery riders and PMD users+sellers. Man of the match performance.

New station opened at PG coast has made NE line to Serangoon very congested, it is not better.
Punggol coast mall was leaking and ponding during election period. Cross Island line opens by 2032 which means WP can still be voted in before we could see any changes. Even so, PG would be even more populated by then.
Now tell me what did the good pap mps did all this while? Teo Chee Hean? What did he do?

I can't comment about Punggol, but I am confident of SK win.

I know friends who stay in SK, not a single person has anything bad to say about the SK MPs. The town council is still being run as per normal, estate maintenance has been top notch as far as residents are concerned.

If anything, I believe SK residents are similar to Hougang in the sense that they are stubborn and won't be easily bought.

I feel sorry for him, felt very humiliating. Not a pap supporter but wouldn't wish to see him being treated like that. He would look like a cute and helpful senior in my company if he is not the minister.
Without their entourage then can see their true popularity mah

If got all the sycophants surrounding him, good chance it will also attract more flies

If alone, people will just boh hiew hahah

New station at Coast mean the crowd is less at Punggol station. The congested NE line is due to the increasing population in Punggol, nothing to with the new station. New cross island line will relieve this congestion.

Coast mall is leaking but ask yourself, do the residents in Coast rather not have the mall?

Teo Chee Hean's stronghold has always been Pasir Ris. But some PAP MPs in Punggol are good. Example is SXL, she works hard and also make sure her residents know she works hard. I also heard the PAP MP for Punggol East is quite popular as well.

Unfortunately Punggol residents are just as adversely affected by the rising cost of living (make worse by GST increase) as residents elsewhere..

Municipal issue is one consideration, but so are national issues.

If every minister is important, LTK once said “what’s the point of elections?”! Just appoint them for life like judges!

I heard about it too. But Harpreet's speech yesterday commented that Punggol does not have enough infrastructure, I think this may p*ssed SK residents because they are the ones not having enough of anything (pre-WP win).
