Is the current minister not already responsible for ensuring the quality of BTO flats? Why does it seem like only after being elected, there is a sudden "serious" effort to look into these issues? Shouldn’t reviewing and maintaining high standards be an ongoing responsibility, especially when it comes to nation building and ensuring the well-being of citizens?
Now, it even sounds like another "be best friends with the PM, then can get funds" situation, implying that only if you elect them, will they then review or fix things. Otherwise, it's just left hanging. Should governance really work this way?
