Not really true. My late grandma's bill never came. She passed on in hospital. She had no medisave either since she was a house-wife all her life. We called up the hospital and was only told that everything had been settled. Settled by who though?

What do u mean?
They help u cremate?
No, if you suspect your baby dead you need to bring to hospital and have the doctor look at it and declare dead. You cannot throw into rubbish bin yourself.

Reminds me of a show. The wife died and he couldn't feel sad. He thought he didn't love the wife. He bght a drink from a vending machine in hospital but the drink didn't come out. He wrote long complain letters and called daily to complain. Then from thr, somehow he managed realize he does love his wife.

I heard from someone, if you do not pay up the hospital bill after they keep reminding or warning you, they will somehow settle with medical social department.

what you are referring to is the ambulance service...
a&e service, even if patient was admitted, will be transferred to the final bill…
my mum fall, had a cut and bleeding, you call that non emergency?
He was talking about ambulance fees being waived for emergency. You replied that you found yours hidden in the bill.
The fact that ambulance fees is in the bill means that it wasn't an emergency. Cos it is fact that no ambulance charges for emergency cases.
Whether you or I consider it an emergency or not is irrelevant.
It's the hospital's decision to make. Not ours.
Emergency cases are charged for treatment , ward etc but not for ambulance.

A&E services are never waived. Nobody claimed that it is. And it is never hidden ( as per your claim)

Hospital should waive lar. Wah lan $160 only, ppl just lost daughter. So insensitive.
Most likely hospital will waive upon appeal and means checking.
Death is so common in hospital isn't it
