I volunteered as an observer at a polling station for WP in the last 2 GEs.

The 2 observers sent from PAP will have name lists. These can be purchased from the Elections Department. They will sit at their desks and cross out the names when the voter names are called out. That is probably the only purpose of those lists, to prevent ghost voting.

WP doesn't believe in spending unnecessarily, so my partner and I simply stood in our corner and observed both the PAP pair and the voters.

What they do gives the impression that we are being marked, which is entirely untrue. Whatever we tick and throw into the box, no one knows.

Boxes are sealed at the end of the day, delivered to a counting centre. counted, boxes then resealed and burnt some time after.

Your vote is secret. You will not be marked. Please vote with a clear conscience. What you decide will affect not only your lives for the next 5 years, but everyone else's.

Yes the whole point is we observed the whole process from start to end there is simply no window or opportunity for the vote to be recorded or traced, none at all.

When counting, is just count and tie up stack by stack, no one records the votes content individually.

After counting, place back into box and sealed and SIGNED.

Then boxes locked up. After some time, seal and signature still there as original - meaning no one opened them before. Then minutes later all burnt.

Did you read mine and many people’s account of the entire process we witnessed?

No recording is allowed at counting centres. It is just count and tie up in stacks. At no point in time was any recording conducted at all. This is witnessed by everyone present in the counting centre including civil servants, candidates themselves, and volunteers for respective parties.

The official process also witnessed by all of us is the ballot papers after counting are all placed back into the box and then sealed and signed, sealed and signed, sealed and signed.

After some time these sealed and signed boxes are taken out to show all witnesses including candidates volunteers and the media, the seal and signature stay the same as original - meaning no one touched or opened them before.

And then all boxes are burnt under witness of all present.

"Many" and "no opportunity" already contradict each other

most edmwer lost their opportunities to ns and foreigners

Its a personal and large scale event. Leaves a bad taste in our mouths

The only way your vote is not secret is: in your precinct, there are no spoilt votes and everyone votes the same way. 100% votes to one party.

either by accident or dumb individuals who had the thought of oh, dun like pap so dun vote for them but also dun like the oppo contesting for their area cos he feel they are not good enough, so he purposely spoil his vote in defiance
