Weil, if they could introduce it, they can remove it too.
The reason why they introduced it was to discourage voters from voting for oppo. Told us that by implementing this will ensure that our voices will be heard even if no oppo win.

I think the only reason why it was a competitive race in Sembawang West SMC was because Poh Li San has not been doing a good job on the ground. There can be no other explanation why PAP garnered 67% of the votes in the surrounding Sembawang GRC but only 53% against Dr Chee in the SMC.

I believe it is more of Dr.Chee appearing on the printed newspaper over the past 5 years on what he has done in bukit batok and what he has done for the underprivileged (treat them a meal at his restaurant)
