I think WP did well. They tested the water in new constituencies with all newbie teams, and still came out with a respectable score. This should give them confidence for expansion plans, maybe next time they will field a heavyweight in those constituencies.

Personally I think Pritim is not a brilliant strategists. If today it was Zhu Ge Liang or Sima Yi, WP would have won like 25-30 seats. Now is totally underperformed. Take for example:

(1) Just bring Michael or Alexis vs Ng Chee Meng or SMC like Tampines changkat
(2) When you suddenly field new candidates, need to fake like machiam A team to Tampines then let PAP send their big guns to Tampines and deploy big guns to Punggol. Tampines is easier to fight than Punggol.
(3) In a year when PAP change 30% of its candidate, it still trash the opposition big time. Machiam change 1/3 of your team for olympics and still top the medal chart,

Today WP deploy like a group of clowns. Even Jack Ma come, confirm deploy better. Shows how good is Pritim as leader. lol! Even he lousy or his adviser lousy

Overall only 3 word for opposition. Total F up.

Shu still fall even with Zhuge and Pang Tong.

I think Faisal to tampines is a good move. It's just that it was close and there is not enough time to walk the ground. If they had a few more days I think the battle is lost.

Pritam really has the last laugh. PAP dragged on the stupid Raesah scandal for YEARS. In the end, voters didn't care about it and WP has not only retained all seats but also gained significant ground in 2 more constituencies.

It takes time to socialize the ground. Winning a SMC or GRC on the first try is a tall order to begin with.

Fact is 51k in Punggol decided to support a newbie team despite having to trade off a DPM while 61k decided to keep the DPM. The difference is just 6k is Tampines.

So indeed, for a debut, I think WP did well. The winner is the residents because PAP is now on the ball but for the rest of the island...we shall see......

WP has establish it's brand now. Even new candidate can get 40% or even challenge the ruling party. Now they need to recruit more and quality people to win more seats. Not just only east. Should have 1 grc challenge at north, west to contest. I believe there are people wanting to change. Just that the quality of the opp in their area cannot make it.
