Nowadays teacher after school still has to reply to student and parents in group chat until late in the night. Next morning wake up early reach school by 7am.

No work life balance. Last time after school at most bring back student homework to mark only.

Actually, I agree. Heard that last time it used to be done by someone else but at some point it became the teacher's job.

However in other news, nowadays got 2 vice principals, one in charge of admin and the other academics. I'm sure 1 vice principal salary surely can hire 2 or even 3 admin staff right?

teaching students is only like 1 quarter or 1 fifth of the job scope

doing lesson plan, setting homework, marking homework, CCA, meet the parent sessions, giving feedback, events and celebration planning, setting / planning exams, meetings, ad hoc projects, going on courses / workshops, still have additional appointments like form teacher, level head , subject head, HOD and other leadership positions

so want to outsource how much?

those who cannot take the full load, be adjunct teacher with reduced scope and paycut lor

- admin work goes to 'developing countries' because its the cheapest solution

Outsource to more foreigners? We already don't have enough people to work on every jobs. Splitting the jobs will definitely give teachers a better work life balance. But that means we have to pay more to additional admin staffs. Who's going to pay? Alexis Dang or government or the parents? Or dig into the reserve as some opposition supporters like to suggest? And when we have more foreigners, who are the people complaining? When more foreigners needing more accomodations, house prices go up, who are the people complaining? She probably has some pretty girlfriends working as teachers and complaining about not having time to have high teas or fine dinning with her?

This is the kind of irresponsible politicians we do not need. Just go into their drawers, find something and propose without thinking of the repurcussion.
