Just to share, only CIMB and RHB can open respective bank Malaysian account in Singapore. Maybank called back and said they don’t have such facility at the moment.
Maybank have but you need Letter of invitation from SG main branch then you can bring that letter to go Malaysia side then bank.

How you get the letter it depends on the amount you put inside your account and your relationship with your RM
Have you tried Malaysia Standard Charted ?
If no Malaysia address or mobile can open Malaysia SC account ?

I have tried but the transfer doesn’t work. Youtrip transfer only works for Malaysian bank account and Duitnow account, my Touch n Go account is purely a touch and go account, no Duitnow, I guess because I’m Singaporean? I’ve tried adding my Touch and go account to Youtrip but failed every time- I’ve used mobile number and passport number, both failed because they are not Duitnow ID according to that reason given.

As for the WISE screenshot I posted, it’s not the same coz I’ve already successfully added my touch and go account to my Wise app before I tried doing the transfer. Once again, it’s a touch and go account, not Duitnow, same goes for Dash. The Youtrip page you tried is just a check our rates feature of the Youtrip app, no account added. I don’t mind using get Youtrip transfer as it works out to be only 0.3% but sad to say, Youtrip only accepts transfer to Duitnow account and not touch and go account, and my touch and go wallet is the latter.

Requires Malaysian mobile number to register as a DuitNow ID.

I think for Youtrip Transfer overseas send to via Duitnow using Mobile number

yup i have a CIMB MY account alr but thinking of getting a spare account, in case cant find CIMB ATMs or what-nots.
also, CIMB MY have FD promotions if you transfer in from another MY bank.

How do you settle the need for ATM/ withdraw cash if using OCBC? Are they part of the MEPS atm network?

oh? the RHB call centre told me, bring NRIC, passport, address proof, phone number ownership proof to Orchard Branch can alr. No mention of charges/ fees.

Maybe safer / cheaper is to open RHB MY account online and visit physical branch to activate/ collect debit card

I didn't use youtrip not sure how the interface look like but I usually transfer from my CIMB or Wise to my TNG account.

For wise I use the following example to transfer to the TNG account

Where to find your TNG account, just click under your profile and the account number just copy and paste into the account number.

Alternative like what other people suggested you can get a mobile number and link to your account.

Yes, same here, those call centre operators are not familiar with the fees and all, you also cannot find such information on RHB Singapore website. I went down to Orchard personally and that was response from their premier banking staff. To be honest, the staff also not very keen to service me, coz my main purpose is to fund my TnG wallet, they have no money to be made from me.

Can I check for WISE transfer to TnG, there is fees right? I just tried SGD100 and was shown $1.17 in fees.

Yes, there's fee but overall I think if you change quite a bit is still better rate compare to like CIMB direct. You can double check first.
