Maybe it is deliberate. Read almost all cases, the lines came out once update to latest firmware.

Lmao, they update your phone to spoil it so you will buy a new phone

Samsung always copy Apple. Apple cum out with updates that wreck battery life so u buy new hp first.

Samsung still providing free replacement for s20--s22? These models should be out of warranty by now.

So what does that mean? Why they can have free replacement for older models but buyers of the newer models will just have to accept the green line, is that the Samsung stance?

The last time i went like maybe 1.5 years ago they replaced note 20 ultra panel for free but have to pay for labor ...

IIRC i paid $150ish for the back glass + labor

tbh i suspect the green line really got to do with firmware update cause it happened to my note 20 ultra just shortly after i updated the firmware .. might be firmware causing battery to bloat thus pressing onto the panel itself or ribbons/connector for panel that causes the lines

Is your note 20 still under warranty? I did replace s20 plus more than 2 years ago, completely free and Samsung replaced the LCD and battery.

Recently the green lines came back and went to mister mobile to replace the screen as Samsung website show $300 to replace LCD.

nope .. it wasn't under warranty anymore..
Maybe the labor was for the back glass replacement.. not too sure either as the staff did not really clarify.. she just told me have to pay labor

Based on the auntie staff that i talked to, it was because there were more reports on s20-22 having green lines, thus their policy only accept those devices (i think just need pay $54.50 for labour). Maybe i just went wrong branch, it was woodlands branch if anyone interested

May I ask how much did Mister Mobile charge to replace the screen?

My S22 got the lines earlier this year.
I never went to Woodlands branch. Went to Plaza Sing and Vivo branch. Both told me replacement need $400.
So different branch different staff tell different stories? They ownself access then quote based on they think can carrot the customer or not?
