Actually this is the reason why many capable people avoid or quit politics, look at how many one term MP quit this time. The money they make just cannot justify all the public scrutiny they are going to face with every move under microscope
then dun take so much allowance lor.
they take so much money, people will expect more from them.

Nobody is forcing a MP to be one if he/she is not fond to shake hands with people.
After all, one is paid the other is not. Want to talk about love? Then remove the high salaries first lor
If you have issue with high salary, you should have highlighted to PAP.

Anyway, majority of Singaporeans have no issue with high salaries as we have seen in the May result.

Whether the public is happy or not, it is not her problem any more.

No complain = no improvement. Some companies will remain ignorant and say "nobody complain what, so why do we need to change??" That's why we must keep complaining until things improve.
