Just nice he needs help on this. He can't speak Mandarin at all because we speak to him in English all the time and he can't concentrate with us teaching him. He obeys his teachers in school though, so getting a tuition teacher might help. Let me speak to my wife.

Oh yes sure. All my kids are jiak katang too. And parents like me caz I'm local Singaporeans who is bilingual so I can use English translate to them and make it less boring unlike those too tiong which is too Chim for them.

Otherwise, $125/hr is chop carrot rates.

It is like a personal trainer charges you $300/hr to learn how to use gym machines. You can find student athletes who charge WAYYYY less than this, $60/hr.

Really don understand why many parents r not speaking Mandarin to kids since born. Don they know that it is a mandatory subject for kid to get into a branded secondary school? In Singapore it is easier to learn english. Take a look at the tiong kids. They may not be fluent or speak english at home. But they pick up the language so well than local kids. With strong Mandarin background, usually they would score well for psle n secondary.

I know of a mummy who spent $50K to spam tutors to guide her two boys to local medical school.
