I didn't even know there's a Rochester Mall.

I only know Edward Rochester from Jane Eyre

Nowadays with the skyrocketing rental prices, starting from small and slowly growing up outlet by outlet is not commercially viable for most small businesses out there.

You have to pump a large amount of capital in the 1st place, then immediately start big in order to obtain economies of scales to cut costs.

And also need enough capital to fall back on, if in the event of sustained period of poor sales. Need to have enough cash to tong for the period.

Unless you tell me the stall is for money laundering, thus no need to mind high rent and just stay 1 store all the way. Or owner willing to just tong all the way until his/her savings fully depleted.

Hence, most of the stalls you see at shopping centres, etc. now are those chain stalls.

For example, Saizeriya got a central kitchen and open 30+ outlets all over SG in around 15 years.
And also, they got enough capital to fall back on in the 1st place.

Nowadays most of the shopping malls (Malls REITs) are mainly made up of those chain stalls liao.

Those unique ones need to find those older kind of shopping malls where rental is cheaper but still got enough traffic e.g City Plaza/Bukit Timah Shopping Mall/Katong Mall/Queensbury Shopping centre, etc.

Beauty World MRT nearby got a few of these kind of malls, perhaps CSJ can consider opening 1 outlet around the area.
Stall is for $ laundering? Yea it may well be for similar purpose - charity work for family office to be allowed to open office here in Sg. . Family office may just give rent $ for local hawkers..

Is this money laundering??

Just went to eat, surprisingly the food was good. Ordered their truffle pasta, my friends (2 of them) ordered Wagyu burger and Creamy Tuscan Butter Salmon. Tried a bit of the salmon and wagyu burger, standards are there

But have to say their price slightly on the expensive side, no different from the typical restaurant chains liao since got GST + Service Charge. (Same like Astons and Collins, etc.)

Their fried tenders was overfried though, abit hard. Feedback to their staff.

Ambience is good, suitable for colleagues to go there after work to slowly sit there drink wine. Got WIFI as well.

It is better than the likes of Kenny Roger standards, I have to say.

Actually the staff there asked me where did I heard about the stall closing down soon, said that in the afternoon got another customer also asked.

Seems like it is Not closing down, at least for this year ba.
We found the food is pretty good especially the service.
Staff very friendly and helpful.

Think I saw a short clip from csj saying he's got some plans for the cafe? You mean closing already? If so, it's a good run. Fnb having it tough these few years

You see many opposition supporters talk about supporting opposition wholeheartedly but then they only eat mixed vegetables rice... Of course the what orange and teal cannot sustain...

Did not bought the book, yep agree with you on the food. Standards is there, but of course is not cheap.

But service is good definitely, aircon is strong and WiFi is provided. They don't charge for plain water too.

Most importantly, is they don't really chase customers out if there are still empty seats.

Agree that the food is pretty good, but portions on the smaller side. Many buibui here will only be half full even after eating 2 main courses.

God will prevail and sees that it is sustainable…
CSJ isn’t bad, didn’t do anyone wrong.
In the contrary, has done alot of goods for some victims of NS etc…

Just happened he can’t see 👁️ to 👁️

He shouldn’t be persecuted purely cos he is in opposition ward…
We should be objective and fair…
God is watching…
Will share my personal experience of karma…
My friend shared that a patient of his specialist doctor had sought help for passing out lots of blood in urinating…

The doctor scheduled to do the investigative procedure over the weekend, on a Saturday with the excuse that the operating theatre wasn’t available.

No medicine was given to stop the bleed.
Doctor suspected of a vessel ruptured.
luckily for the patient, the bleeding did stop on 2nd day.

The doctor couldn’t trace the source of bleeding cos all dried up.
Guess what?
Many years later, my friend shared that the doctor got into an accident.
He managed to get out of the burning car but witnessed his wife burnt in 🔥

Always do good and you will earn good karma…
