Friday report released confirmed that.

it is used to cut off fuel to any of the 4 engines incase of engine fire

Why when the plane is at a stage where it’s taking off, onboard computer knows that it should be taking off, allow the fuel to be cutoff instead of not allowing it to?

When you’re driving a car in D mode, even though you purposely or accidentally put it to R mode, would it reverse?

The design of the switch prevents an accidental bump from moving it from run to cutoff
Deliberate action needed.
