Hi guys, my current smartphone is zf5 which I planned to upgrade this year.

A bit of a history, zf5 was announced on 26/7/2023. On 11/8/2023 it's in general released. Retail price for 512gb is 2578 sgd.

Whether the current prices at mister mobile and red white mobile are good deals, you decide.

In general, it's not a good idea to buy a new product at launch as they might have "bugs". In the case of zf7, you see problems such as hinge can't unfold flat. You need to give the manufacturing facilities time to iron out the issues. Those in manufacturing industry will understand what I mean. Quality improves with time.

Personally I dislike the transparent + safemag ring outlook

Tempted to get a carbon fibre back casing + hidden/concealed safemag function type instead

Anyway, I'll be using my ZF7 naked until 25 July onwards

Gonna wait out for the ss clear case

Gonna wait out for the ss clear case

I don't like ring also.. but the option available that tick all my boxes got a magsafe ring.. looking at it under light I started to like it
It give the blue a hint of white

my zfold 5 drop before and kenna scratchs in the hinge. immediately deduct money for deep sratch when selling pls take care if plan to sell in future.

not surprised. The Flip 7 is still considered quite thicc. Though the cover screen is beautiful with slim bezels. And it's using Exynos, if it's using SD E8 , then it would be better.

First impression.
1. Speaker is not as good as both fold 6 and s25u. Very obvious. If you use speaker for call, it can go quite soft. The volume on your ears are lower also.
2. Secure folder now is using private space. The lock when leave app option is gone. You need to off the screen or manually lock it.
3. The bezel on front screen is too thick.
4. The feel not as solid as fold 6
5. Not as smooth as when I first use s25 ultra.

once drop....u will regret....my v3 also use case only till it drop..front top got bad scratch and regret why i never put front case

Yes, this is a very slippery phone. Very hard to open too cos of the slim chassis. Best to get a case. You'd feel tired after a while trying to open it up without a case.
