I hope Desmond Lee will be different in handling thisWho was the fellow who said parents should not intervene and let the school handle? Time and time again we've been proven that the school cannot handle.

Sad case.now the bully so hiong one?
I also wonder if this OM role still exists. If it exists; why would this happen ? Or now the OM no longer imposing ?i was from ngee ann sec. Back in 1999/2000 we got new OM Mr Ong, he is old man big size and his attitude machiam gangster. All scared of him after he did public caning. All the detention and late comers all under him. Got few times he even had physical contact with pai kias in our school and he still won. Then after grad liao we tried to make friend with him when we went back to visit. He told the whole group of us we don't have valid reasons to be in the school compound and told us all to leave. Since then, we never went back LOL
i wonder nowadays sec sch have such OM or not sia. if have hor i don't think will have such news.

The disparity across families are greater but standard in schools. It’s more effective to start from schools , from teachers and principals, from prefects and monitors… the system needs an overhaul.. heard so many cases of teachers appointing unsuitable students as prefects and monitors …Imo the root cause mostly from parent as all kids are studying the same stuff at school and the difference between one student to another is what they do outside school.
From parent’s behavior, what do they teach/not teaching to the kid, allow screen time with no restriction, hangout with bad company, exposed to stuff not suitable for their age yet, etc2
But parent also have their own challenges from less time to spend with kids if both are working, stress from work and rising cost of living
School can only do so much but the root cause is still at home, though I agree school can play a part in being strict to send message about bullying. It is thinly different with teasing, joking around but make fun, bullying needs to be curbed early.

Massage the word bully......
On Jan 7, a 12-year-old boy from the school in Woodlands allegedly attacked his classmate, who suffered a cut on his head and was taken to the hospital.
In his reply, Mr Chan noted that MOE’s preliminary investigations showed that this was an altercation and not an incident of bullying.
“An altercation happened between two new Secondary 1 students... between periods. This resulted in one student striking the other on the head with a plastic water bottle, giving rise to a cut on that student’s head,” he said.
Teachers overworked liao, this situation is systematic to be honest. If each teacher only manage a class of 20 students, and administrative work is outsourced and no need to handle CCAs.The disparity across families are greater but standard in schools. It’s more effective to start from schools , from teachers and principals, from prefects and monitors… the system needs an overhaul.. heard so many cases of teachers appointing unsuitable students as prefects and monitors …
At least until now he has not asked parents to stand down or stop spreading the video yetDoubt so, just see his time in MND.
