July 28: The school pulled the three boys from class. Based on the school’s checks, Pupil A obtained the mobile number from his parent. The trio made multiple prank calls to the girl’s parent, with Pupil C sending audio messages threatening the parent and her family. The school reprimanded all three pupils and informed their parents that they would be suspended from school immediately.

That same morning, the vice-principal met the girl’s parents to inform them about the actions taken by the school, including changing her seat to separate her from the three pupils, and plans to conduct bag checks after they served their suspension. The vice-principal also spoke to the girl’s parents on the telephone in the evening to share plans to assign peers to accompany the girl in school

July 31: The safety plan was sent via e-mail to the parents.

Aug 7: The school was informed of a bruise on the girl. The school established that Pupil C swung his bag into the girl during school dismissal. CCTV footage showed that the teacher present was managing another group of pupils and did not witness the incident, and no pupil approached the teacher to alert him to the incident. Following investigations, the school engaged Pupil C’s parents.

Aug 12: Pupil C was caned.

Last time the method and process of caning would really drive the message into the recalcitrant student, coupled with the humiliation in front of the school.

Nowadays all strawberries. A bit of things must go counselling, cannot hurt their feelings (including the bullies), etc. I don't see the effectiveness these days compared to the past.

the school tries to downplay death treat as prank call, frame the child who retaliate as engage in hurtful behavior, if the bullying is for 6 months then why only took action after the mother took if to social media.
Why the bully still gets to close to the girl and injure her after he made the death threat?

Everything shows that MOE and the school tries to downplay the issue before the incident is made public.

And acted innocent, that as far as she knew, her daughter hadn't done anything wrong... but the school had , in the past, dealt with her for her offensive and racial slurs.

How come like never mentioned any other friends of the bully victim?

Normally girl got girl friends in school, why the girl like no other friends but only got bullies as acquaintances in school?

Because girls like bad boys? she obviously enjoyed their company until it became too much she couldn't focus on the lessons. She also tell others not to befriend them. That's why verbal is hard to catch. Girl also at fault but not recorded like what the boys did with the bag swing and the voice threats..

Upgrade the safety plan for her. Home based learning for all parties until the end of school year. All parties can only go school take exam. The child cannot behave then pawn the parents to force them to discipline them.

Their drama sure affect other students so just take the problem out of the school and keep them at their home. With home base learning, the parents will know how well their child behave and how tough the teacher’s job.

no idea why this make national news.

during my time this kind of thing is bread and butter everyday life, teachers are aware but close one eye dont want to get into unnecessary trouble. there was one time i was chased by a bully in pri school taking the metal chair leg detached trying to hit me, i ran to the teacher and she just scolded me why i cause trouble for her lol.

in my sec school they even hid parangs at the PE equipment warehouse to be used for bullying with their sharp combs and razor belts

The question is did the school communicated all these actions taken and her daughter's wrong doings to her. If so then yes she lied otherwise it's a big question mark.
