“Drinking plain water, or any beverage for that matter, is not permitted because the beverage could spill and wet seats, soil other commuters’ belongings or cause a fellow commuter to slip and fall. Help us prevent any accidents in the network and maintain a clean environment, so that it would be a pleasant ride for all.”

Plain water is ok what. I drink so many times on bus and train liao. The mrt staff also bochup me
that is taking medicine, this is balantly breaking the rules for filming purposes and how you know its plain water could be colorless sugar drink
He is challenging authority and law. Law can be merciful, but blatant challenge and making a mockery of the law should not be allowed. It shows disrespect for the country and citizens.
Some ppl just want to create content on social media for the attention. All of us know drinking plain water in MRT or bus is fine. But the reason why no drinking no eating rule is so that our trains, bus and stations are clean for all to use. Imagine spilling your sweet bubble tea or teh peng on the bus or MRT, the sticky sticky floor. Then ppl step on it, walk all over, spread the stickiness. Please have some civic mindness.
