Honestly, this situation is getting tiring. I have already given feedback about her many times to her COO (direct reporting) and CEO as well. Also, talked to her. Recently, she told me straight she “only reports to the CEO.” The CEO has also spoken to her a few times already, but no real change.

Her own direct reporting, who she seems to hate, also refuses to help anymore, saying she is not pulling her weight in the company. So the problem just drags on.

From my point of view, if the business side does not take ownership, there is only so much I can do. If regulator comes after the company later, I will still have to help explain things. But it is frustrating because this could have been avoided if people just did their part.

Sometimes it really feels like I am here, to clean up everyone else’s mess.

Honestly, I think cohabiting makes sense. If both parties are comfortable with that lifestyle, then there’s no real need for marriage just for the sake of it. Especially if both are financially stable, they don’t need to go through all the HDB paperwork and legal formalities just to prove they are committed.

Marriage only becomes practically relevant if they plan to have kids, since that’s when issues like subsidies, parental rights, and legal protections start to matter.
